"Hey Mel, whatchya doing?" Matt asked his best friend, who was sitting on the window sill in their shared room, with one leg hanging out the window.
"Look…. Down there, over by the church do you see it?" Mello said, reaching backwards without looking and pulling Matt closer to the window so he could look.
Matt put his hands on the sill and leaned over the leg Mello was using to hold himself inside with and looked out at the small town. He spotted the tiny white church, not noticing anything particularly special about it.
"What an I looking for?" he asked, turning his head to look at Mello, his red hair blowing a little in the slight summer breeze.
"The flowers, look, they're everywhere." Mello said with a little smile. Matt looked out again, and saw that Mello was right, there where flowers everywhere. Pink ones, yellow ones, white ones, all over the place, scattered across lawns, decorating the church, in front of their orphanage…
"Whoa… when did this happen?" Matt said with wide eyes.
"Weeks ago, Mattie. You should get out more." Mello said. He leaned out a little more and pointed to a grassy hill that overlooked the town "do you remember when we where little and we went up on that hill?"
"And I was pissed because someone put two flowers in my goggles and got them all smudged. I said I hated everything to do with the outdoors."
"Then I asked you what about all the pretty things, and you told me that as long as I was around you had al the pretty things you needed." Mello laughed at the memory.
Matt blushed and looked at Mello again. He smiled when the blonde's hair got in his face and he wrinkled his nose up. Matt had always loved to look at Mello.
"What?" Mel asked, turning to see Matt's eyes on him.
"You know… I still have all the pretty things I could ever need." Matt said.
"You mean the flowers?" Mello asked with a little laugh.
Matt shook his head and moved closer, placing a little kiss on Mello's lips.
"Nah. I hate the outdoors." Matt smiled, walking away from his blushing friend.
Oh my god I cant believe I wrote that. This is a bit too fluffy even for my standards.
Oh well. Reviews are love and result in more oneshots.
