Hey there! This is the prologue to my new story. I want to say a few things. First, sorry if my english is bad. It's not my first language but I'll try my best to write correctly. Second, unfortunately I don't own Fairy Tail or any of its characters or plots.

Natsu had been coming to this same spot for nearly a week now. He didn't know what it was about her, only that he couldn't get her out of his mind. Some might call it an obsession, but he called it love at first sight. Most people would laugh at the crown prince of the dragons, but this was not a laughing matter. He had to do something before this drove him insane.

There she walked, a cup of apple juice in one hand, and a book in the other. The mystery girl was dressed in a blue, knee-length dress. She made her way to her usual bench, sat down, and cracked open her book. Every now and then, she'd take a sip of the juice.

His instincts told him to run and take her to his realm, but his better judgment told him to wait; he would have his time soon enough. He didn't understand why he was going to these extremes with this woman, but he just couldn't help but watch her.

Actually he already suspected the reason behind his attraction and it was really bothering him. No, he couldn't be right. It's completely impossible and goes against all rules. A human couldn't be his mate. Humans were weak and reckless, letting their emotions control their decisions. Natsu wanted to hate that girl but he couldn't find it in him to generate the emotion. No matter how much he denied it, he couldn't lie his heart. She was too perfect; everything he ever wanted.

He gazed at her, wonderment filling him. Suddenly the girl lifted her head and looked towards him, sending his heart fluttering. The beautiful blonde frowned and placed the book in her bag. Natsu's breath hitched in his throat when he realized that she caught him staring at her.

"Lucy!"

Her head turned, smiling when she saw a blue-haired girl that was running in her direction. After casting one final lingering, piercing glance at Natsu, the blonde turned and hurried away. He watched her go, her name reverberating deafeningly through his mind.

Lucy.

She was named after the light.

Good? Awful? Should I continue?

I won't be updating right away unless I get some reviews for motivation and to see your thoughts on this story. Thank you for reading!
