The title came from a song I was listening to while writing this. I haven't posted anything in awhile. This was kind of spun off a pic on my DA page called 'Distraction'. The link is on my profile.
I don't own anything. :P
"Scrapper, if you keep doing that, he's never going to learn."
"But, he likes being with us," Scrapper said, picking up his sparkling out of the metallic crib and nuzzling his head softly.
Hook scowled at him. "This isn't good for him. He's old enough to do this on his own now."
Scrapper coddled Scavenger closer as the small one laid his head in the crook of his creator's neck. "Please? Just for tonight?"
The look on his mate's face was so pitiful, Hook wanted to slap him senseless. But the sleeping form of his sparkling was enough of a sight to make him terminate that thought as soon as it entered his cpu. He suddenly felt such a longing in his own spark to snatch Scavenger away from Scrapper and snuggle him until he was in recharge as well. No. He wouldn't do that.
Or...
"Okay. But tomorrow night, he has to try to recharge on his own."

Hook didn't know why that memory was the one to come back to him as he observed Scavenger curled up against Brawl, both of them recharging peacefully. His rational mind told him it was because the Chaar caverns were small and everyone had to share what little space they had. Of course, it was no secret that Scavenger and the Combaticon were becoming unusually...close to each other. And the way Brawl had his arm wrapped around Scavenger...
He looked away and frowned at the stone floor. All that mattered now was the present, and their current dilemma of possibly starving to death if they couldn't find more energon.
Still, thoughts pegged at his cpu and he had to wonder. Why did the spark he once carried so long ago have to come into its own being so quickly?
