Hey all! It's been forever since I've done a Doctor Who story, so I hope this is worth the wait. It was written for a prompt a received on Tumblr. The prompt was umbrella. Thanks to kilodalton for the prompt! Blessings- Hope'sFace.

The first time the Doctor was taking her out on a proper date he surprised her by taking her to Barcelona (the planet, not the city). For most the day it had been great- tasting the local food, petting the nose less dogs, watching the triple sunset with the purple, red, and orange colors blending perfectly and washing the sky completely like a canvas. Then they walked around the quite main city of Wren. They joked and laughed underneath the diamond stars. And then it rained. Without warning the sky opened up and released a torrential downpour that rivaled the output of Niagara Falls. Rose was miserable, not to mention completely soaked through, and they were still two miles from the TARDIS. All of a sudden the rain stopped. Rose looked up, completely baffled, to see the Doctor's apologetic smile, and his hand holding an umbrella. His usually sticky-up hair was plastered against his face and his suit, also wet, stuck against his lean body. Rose couldn't be mad at him, he couldn't control the weather after all. Then she thought of something.
"You didn't have an umbrella coming out of the TARDIS…"
The Doctor gave a smirk before responding, "pockets Rose, bigger on the inside. Thought to stick one in before we left. We don't want to the repeat the Clom incident."
Rose chuckled, remembering the time that they had gone to Clom and had gotten stuck in the yearly rainstorm. Rose had gotten a cold afterward and had put traveling on hold for a week. Not to mention the slap the Doctor had received from Jackie upon taking her home to recuperate.
"Besides," the Doctor added, "I've got to take care of you proper now." The genuine concern in his voice melted Rose's heart. She tiptoed, giving him a light peck on the lips.
"You always take care of me, Doctor." She grabbed his hand and together they headed to the safety of the TARDIS, underneath the protection of their umbrella.
