Hey everyone. Welcome to my second major project that involves my OTP. This is a much, much more depressed version of a story compared to my previous one, Soulbounded.

Speaking of which, I did say I want to rework that story at some point but I have decided to not give up on the original, since it still has a decent plotline going after all. I'm working on that chapter as well. So, yeah, don't worry, for all of you followers, the story still wouldn't be abandoned. Meanwhile, I have this story come up, that has stayed in my mind for way longer than it was supposed to.

Keep it mind: This story is sort of a tragedy as well. A little. Because it is going to be depressing. If you wanted to read something lighthearted you should not read this. This story was composed into a plot by a lot of different songs, and it will be the best if you listen to them when you read, I guarantee you will cry... some lyrics might even actually make it into the real story itself, and by that it usually means a full song. So... if you want to read this, be prepared.

If you're ready, let's go straight to my new story of my Kalista/Nami OTP. I warned you, be prepared.

Everyone knows about the Tidecaller and the quest she was on to save her tribe.

At first, nobody knew much about the Marai, a Vastayan race that lived in the Guardian's Sea. They preferred to stay hidden most of the time, and none have actually seen one or communicated with one.

That was until Nami, the Tidecaller for this era, did something that no Marai has ever did before and ventured out of the sea and onto open land to search for the moonstone. And became a champion of the League Of Legends.

Now, the Tidecaller's quest was no longer a secret, and everyone was knowing more and more about the sea-dwelling creatures with one of them being a League champion.

The task had seemed impossible for years. No matter where Nami went, it never seemed like she never had any success of finding the stone that was the key to the safety of her tribe. Most had perceived it to be a never-ending quest.

But now, it seems like everyone had been wrong.

The quest was finally completed.

Yet, it wasn't as much of a good news as everyone had expected.

The Tidecaller did not return unharmed, which was not completely unexpected. She didn't really suffer major wounds - but a few injuries might have been rather serious - and painful to bear. Soraka had easily fixed that up with her magic.

However, it seemed like the quest had left worse effects on the Marai rather than just physical injuries.

Ever since she came back, Nami had fallen sick.

Not sick physically. Mentally. She had not been deemed sane ever since she returned. No one knew what happened, and no one could get her to say anything before she lost her mind. Ever since then, she has been in a mental trauma and had never been deemed sane enough to leave the hospital.

The quest had been completed... but the cost of it was leaving the Tidecaller who had completed it broken and confined to a bed in the ward of the Institute Of War, instead of back home and free, out in the open sea... like how she was supposed to be.

The first of her kind to leave her home just to protect her people... and the first to return successful, unharmed, victorious...

...but completely shut down.

That's it for now, a small prologue that is meant to just give a rather quick explanation of how the situation has escalated to this at the point where my next chapter starts. Enjoy and I hope you all have a good day.
