FIRST VOLUME'S FOREWORD!
Hi! With me, Nagumo Hajime, who proudly present my second story; How NOT to Summon a Demon God.
Allow me to share some… teasers related to this story, so you can expect what will happen later. If you disliked teasers or spoilers, you might jump down straight to the disclaimer before you advanced to the story.
The first point is about the protagonist. The protagonist, or Main Character, shortened as MC from henceforth, is a self-insert original character of mine. This MC is the person who also wrote my fan fiction "From Common-job Reincarnator to Demon God" in his background story, and one day, he discovered he had been summoned as the character in his fan fiction by Shera L. Greenwood. Why Shera summoned him instead of Diablo? You need to read the story and discover the reason by yourself, ok? Speaking of Diablo, he only made a short appearance. I planned to get rid of him soon.
Next topic readers usually inquire about is the pairings. Allow me to disclose the pairing here. The pairing is polygamy relationship—or harem as you put it—with my MC paired to Shera, Alicia, Edelgard, Krebskulm, Rose, and finally Graham Sasara. After that, we have a plot. In short, the story is gonna get off the rail soon. Anyway, fret not for you who hoped for some characters to have the ecchi scene with MC. Though they wouldn't join MC's harem, some of the female characters would have their smutty scene with my MC. For example Celes, Medios, the Receptionist Dwarf triplets, heck, even Mei. Though, I would not write the ecchi scene with lolis, so there won't be lemons with Sylvie or Rem. For Sylvie and Rem lovers, too bad for you, there won't be any ecchi scene for them and I won't apologize for it!
I think it was everything I wanted to share. Don't forget to check out my "From Common-job Reincarnator to Demon God" fan fiction and support the official release of "Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest" and "How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord".
The last thing is the warning about this story. This story is considered M, though it's close to MA because of NSFW materials such as profanity, violence, gore, a depiction of cruelty, character's death, and sexual content. Please proceed cautiously!
With the pesky disclaimer advertised, we can begin the story! Enjoy!
Volume 1 – Prologue: Demon God, Summoned to the Other World and Tricked Busty Elf into a Deal
In the beginning, it was only darkness. Then, there was a light and the face of a girl drew closer.
Oh, this is a dream. Must be it! I figured.
No matter how you looked at it, she was most definitely an Elf. Her long, elongated ears were proof. In addition, she was more beautiful than any actual human. She could make the prettiest woman I'd seen in digital media turn green in envy.
While thinking it all a dream, I continued to stare as she came closer and closer…
…What the heck!?
Surprised, I couldn't stop the elf girl advance and then I felt the realistic sensation of her lips; her lips were warmer and softer than my ex's lips I'd addition, I could feel the almost burning sensation of her body heat. It was enough to make me feel like I was melting. The scent of the girl gave off a faint sweetness, stimulating my carnal desire.
A few moments later, the elf girl broke our lips lock. Her extremely pretty face entered my field of vision and her cheeks were reddening like a ripe apple. Though she was embarrassed, her emerald-colored eyes were staring steadily and expectantly into my eyes. I couldn't fathom why she seemed expectant, though.
Dazed, I returned her gaze and felt unsure of what to do. Though I had experience in a matter between a man and a woman, being kissed by an exceptionally pretty girl who was clearly an elf threw my mind into disarray. It was expected if I thought it was only a dream.
"Ummm…" a sweet voice came out of her parted juicy lips, snapping me out of my trance, "is it successful?"
She said something that I didn't understand. Opening my mouth, I wanted to ask for clarification, but I stopped because dots of black light—if they could be called as such—appeared around my neck. Then, they coalesced around my neck before they turned into a collar made of iron with a loud, clink!
I unconsciously raised my hands and checked the iron collar. I felt its metallic hard and cold surface.
The elf girl blinked when she saw the iron collar. Then, she beamed widely, stared at me with innocent and cheerful eyes, and said: "Yay! My [Enslavement Ritual] is successful! From now on, you're my [Enslaved Summon], Demon Lord from Another World!"
W-What the heck happened? Disorientated, I stared dumbly at the elf. Then, I traced the iron collar around my neck; I felt how real the thing was. I could feel my heartbeat hammering in my chest. I then recalled the warmth of her lips, and the softness of what I believed to be her breasts.
This is mostly not a dream. I made that conclusion in my head.
And I came to realize that this was all happening in reality.
It was happening too fast for me to comprehend. I spaced out as I stared at the sky. The elf was now gone from my field of vision. The sky that spread out before me was fantastically blue. This was not the ceiling of my private room back in my parent's house. Even the way I was dressed had changed. Instead of the white T-shirt with a loose collar and a pair of green boxers I wore before I'd woken up in here, I was garbed in a high-collared black coat with a pair of black cargo pants that the ends were tucked into a pair of high boots made from unknown durable yet flexible black-colored leather. Under the coat, I was wearing a black skintight sleeveless muscle T-shirt.
Is this a bandage?
I wondered inaudibly as I checked the long, thin white fabric coiling around my neck. The ends of the bandage were flapping freely. The wind was strongly blowing against my body in this unknown place. I viewed my surroundings. No matter how many times I checked, this most certainly was not my dormitory room, nor my personal room.
Shaped like an octagon, the place was not very large—perhaps five meters long from edge to edge. I sat upon a stone altar in the center of the area, surrounded by four stone pillars. In addition, the light coming from the tips of these pillars was not from fire or electricity, but had a soft, phosphorescent glow. Beyond this, that vast blue sky spread out before me. The air was fresh and clear without the pollution that existed in the modern era.
It seemed that I was on top of a very tall building, or perhaps a tower. And I was not alone. There was another person here as well—
The elf girl… I trailed soundlessly.
Though I doubted my own eyes, it was all I could think she might be. Her ears were long and pointed. Elves were so well known for this particular feature that they could almost be called the "long ear" species. They had become the iconic humanoid fantasy race in digital media lately. Her hair looked as if it was made of melted gold, and she wore a hair decoration fashioned from the grass. The green tunic she wore was only tied together with bits of string, and her skin showed through from time to time. On her back, she carried a large bow, with a quiver for arrows at her waist. Her arms, legs, and neck were long and slender, which fit with what I already knew elves should look like. However, her incredibly robust and ample breasts were the one feature that did not fit the usual Elves I knew of.
Alright, I began my recounting in my head. I got woken up and found myself in an unfamiliar place? Check. There's someone who said about summon and to be my master? Check. Confused as fuck? Check. What's the odd of I being summoned to another world and gotten enslaved like Saito Hiraga from Familiar of Zero?
At the end of my pondering, I smiled sardonically. Though that idea sounded ridiculous, I couldn't ignore it. My experience as another world subgenre reader and a proud fan of that subgenre told me that I was in the same scenario as those Isekai protagonists.
I focused on the elf and opened my mouth, and "Who are you?" I blurted that out in my bewilderment.
"Ah! It talks!"
The elf jumped backward in surprise. Her eyes became wide in exaggeration. A frown marred my face. I felt insulted by her words and reaction. I felt like she had been looking down on me, thinking I was an unintelligent lifeform.
"Of course I talk," I said with an irritated tone. "You haven't answered my question. Who are you? What do you mean by [Enslaved Summon]? What do you mean by the Demon Lord from Another World too? I don't get it!"
The elf girl tilted her head to the side, blinked her eyes, and rubbed her chin. Her other hand was supporting the elbow of her hand that rubbed her chin; she looked illegally cute in that gesture.
A few moments later, she nodded deeply and introduced herself: "My name is Shera L. Greenwood. A [Summoner]. I've summoned you, a Demon Lord from Another World, as my [Enslaved Summon], so I'm your [Master]! Now, you understand?"
I tensed by what I heard. At the same time, I felt like thunder had struck my mind. Shera L. Greenwood, a Summoner and an Elf, I knew someone like her, though the one I knew was a character for a fictional story that had been adapted into manga and anime. She was one of two lead heroines in [How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord] franchise. I then inspected her appearance carefully. I discovered she had the same attire as the Shera in that fiction. She looked like super pretty girl cosplayed as Shera L. Greenwood. Well, she was the real Shera if this really wasn't a dream.
Don't tell me I really have been summoned into that fictional world? Why me, though? What about Diablo? Where's Rem? Why is she alone?
Many questions popped out in my mind. I felt an incoming headache from this out of norm happenstance. I forcefully controlled my panic and grabbed my [Enslavement Collar]. My frown deepened as I felt deep irritation because my freedom was taken away from me. Either in my original world or here, I didn't have the freedom to call my own.
Before I woke up here, I was the only son of two workaholic parents who had so many expectations on me. Even so, they never showed their affection like any normal parents would show to their children. Though I craved for their attention, I could only bite back that desire. After all, my parents had come clean with me that they expected me to be their proper heir. They didn't see me as a son; they saw me as a tool to continue their precious companies. It was maddening that my parents loved their jobs more than me, their son.
Feeling angry, I unconsciously tightened my hold on the collar and tugged it. Then, something shocking happened; I easily crushed the collar that was made from iron as if it was made from a fragile material.
"Eh? EEEEEH?!"
Shera screamed in incredulity, being vocal in expressing her feeling which I also felt, and took a step back. Her eyes had dilated and her pupils had shrunken into a small dot. Meanwhile, I stared blankly at the pieces of the broken collar in my gloved hand. My physical strength astounded me; it was beyond what any normal human was capable of.
W-well, at least, I know I have power. But, is this absurd physical strength is only my power?
I wondered wordlessly and then pondered what I could do. At this point, some information surfaced in my mind. It felt like I just remembered something I'd forgotten. However, new information shocked me deeply.
It was information about many skills that seemed familiar. The information ended with seven types of magic. These seven magics were respectively called—
[Creation Magic]
The first [Magic from Age of the Gods] that appeared in the story, which the protagonist, Hajime Nagumo, received after reaching Oscar Orcus's abode deep in the abyss, also known as the true [Orcus Great Labyrinth].
It was a magic that grants magical powers to minerals, it's limited to the user magics and skills and can create new artifacts. If it was expressed more accurately then it was "a magic that interferes with inorganic materials". And so theoretically this magic should be able to interfere with things like water or salt too, not just mineral.
[Gravity Magic]
The second [Magics from Age of the Gods]. Bestowed to the one who cleared [Raisen Great Labyrinth].
At first glance, it was a magic that grants the ability to control gravity, but it was something that should be properly expressed as "a magic that interferes with the energy of star", not only gravity, and theoretically, it could also interfere with things like leylines or terrestrial heat, bedrock or magma, it wasn't impossible to use this magic to purposefully generate earthquake or volcano eruption… and much more…
[Spatial Magic]
Magic to bend space and teleport, and it was a [Magic from Age of the Gods] that could be gained in [Guryuuen Great Volcano].
But, to express this magic ability properly, it was "a magic that interferes with the concept of boundary". Elimination of race-creature gap and formulating new boundary to create sub-dimension, those kinds of things were also possible, hypothetically.
[Reproduction Magic]
[Magic from Age of the Gods] that could be learned from [Meljeene Great Labyrinth] in bottom Sea Ruin. It could regenerate anything that has been damaged but not completely when a part is lost and it can also heal 'status effects'.
However, its proper description was "a magic that interferes with time". The use of regeneration magic was more of restoration rather than healing, returning back the target's time before the harm was done, and it was just a portion of its true ability. Originally it was possible to interfere with time itself using this magic, so it could catch a glimpse of the past or take a peek at several branches of the procession of time.
Upon mastery, reverting back the death wouldn't be a problem.
[Spirit Magic]
A magic that could be learned in [Great Kamimaya Labyrinth], and the expression of "a magic that interferes with negative material possessed by living thing" showed this magic true nature the most. To say it specifically, this magic could also interfere with things like energy inside the body that was magic power, heat, electricity, then thought, consciousness, and even memory.
Although this magic was designated as 'Spirit', what the user could exercise with this magic was interference at thought body more accurately. And then if someone could handle this magic perfectly, the caster could personally create consciousness and the like. They could conjure it too. To put in another way, it was possible to create an artificial soul using this magic.
[Sublimation Magic]
Simply put, it was a magic that allows other magics and abilities to "evolve". But, its true worth was as "a magic that interferes with the information of existing thing". Its simple function was evolving ability by a level concept and value. The example was interfering body information that said level 1 and raised it up to level 2. If the user reached 'the root of all creation'—the metaphysical place where all information was stored—it was possible to browse and interfere with the information of all existing object.
[Metamorphosis Magic]
It's a magic that interferes with organic material. You could also think of it as a magic that interferes with materials that originated from living thing. In other words, if you feel like it, not just an animal but something like a plant, and also things that are made from that―for example food or paper, this magic can also interfere with that kind of thing. Of course, it can also interfere with the human. The magic stone created after the application of this magic was nothing more than a byproduct. Upon mastery, the magic stone wouldn't be created as an aftereffect.
Those seven magics sounded familiar. How could they not? Those seven magics were the [Magics from Age of the Gods] in [Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest]—a fictional story written by Ryo Shirakome. What's more, I wrote a fan fiction with a self-insert Hajime Nagumo as the protagonist. But, I digressed.
I became dumbfounded after I discovered that. I too felt the excitement that couldn't be expressed in words. After all, having superpowers was the fantasy of people. If you ever told me you never thought something like "if I have reality-bending power, I will... And so on..." at least once in your life, I would not believe in you! It was human nature to desire what they didn't and couldn't have; it was called 'fantasy' for reasons.
Next, I focused on some skills that were strangely familiar sounding. How could they be unfamiliar sounding? After all, those skills belonged to my Self-Insert character in my Arifureta fan fiction. Suddenly, I felt suspicious. Then, I dropped the broken collar to the floor. There was a loud clang, which I ignored.
"H-hey!"
Shera called out timidly, but I ignored her. She still seemed to be intimidated by what happened; anyone would get intimidated when they saw someone crush iron collar in contemptuous ease. I would feel the same thing if I was in her position. But, I was getting into tangents here.
I stared at my gloved hand and recalled the skills stored in my memory. Feeling suspicious, I undid my left glove and willed Mana Manipulation skill to active. A moment later, red-colored aura covered my hand.
So it's really like that... I'm now sure of it…
I grinned widely as I saw the red veins-like tattoo appeared on my skin as I used my mana. Furthermore, I could feel the bottomless reserve of mana inside my body. I finally sensed its existence after I activated my Mana Manipulation skill.
"...kehheh..." I let out a throaty chuckle.
"W-What's it?"
Shera inquired with a confused face. She was staring at me dubiously; her trepidation seemed to increase at my sudden strange behavior. Ignoring Shera's bewildered voice, with a small dosage of fear, my chuckle turned into a peal of full-blown laughter.
"...kuhuhu...haha...HUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
I was very happy, gleeful even. After all, whilst Takuma Sakamoto transmigrated into the body of his online videogame avatar; Diablo, I transmigrated into the body of my self-insert character in my Arifureta fan fiction; Demon God Hajime Nagumo. When I imagined what I could do with the power in this body—
It'd be glorious!
I exclaimed in my head.
A few moments later—
"...ahahaha... Hah!"
My laughter finally stopped. My stomach was hurt from laughing so much. I'd been holding on it with my two hands. It couldn't be helped, though. The idea of what I could do with the power dwelling inside this body had sent me up high.
[Magics from Age of the Gods] that allowed the user to interfere with the principles of all things. It was the strongest types of magic recorded in [Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest]. I'd had a personal opinion that those magics were the most bullshit magics aside from [Five True Magics] from [Typemoon] franchise. With those seven [Magics from Age of the Gods], the possibility of what I'd do was endless. What would I like to do with so much power? First of all, I desired freedom. Then, I didn't know, yet. I could destroy anyone who became obstacles on my way. I could destroy even the world. I could visit another world besides this one. I could do anything which I set my mind into. It was up to me as to how I'd like to use it.
"...hey! Have you finished yet? You have been ignoring me, you see," Shera's voice called out, snapping me out of my intoxicated trance.
I turned at her and saw her exasperated face. There was also a hint of wariness in her expression. Though she expressed her irritation and wariness to me, her face was still extremely pretty. Well, a pretty girl would stay pretty despite being angry. More so if the girl in question was extremely pretty like Shera. I then savored her beauty like a man who was lost in the middle desert and finally found an oasis after a long period of time. Then—
It seems that I've found my goal in this new world, I thought.
I'd like to make this girl to become mine. Not only her, but there were also other women with a sensual body and aesthetically pleasing face in this world; Celestine Baudelaire and Medios were the examples.
"Is something wrong with my face?" Shera inquired with a deeply confused tone.
"My bad," I finally responded. "It's just that you're extremely beautiful."
I gave her the suave smile that never failed me when I picked up a girl who caught my eyes.
Shera's smooth unblemished cheeks turned red as a ripe apple at my sudden flattery. "W-well, thank you, I guess?" She stuttered out in embarrassment.
"You're welcome, beautiful. So you seem to want to ask something, yes? What's it?"
"Y-yes! Yes! How could I forget such an important thing! Dang!"
Shera reacted cutely by knocking the side of her head and stuck out her deep red tongue. Then, she scrunched her forehead and set her face into a demanding expression. I raised my brows in puzzlement as I saw that.
"What?"
"Why did you destroy your [Enslavement Collar]? You're my [Enslaved Summon], you know!"
Pouting in irritation, Shera crossed her slender arms under her breasts; her action pushed up her voluminous breasts. If her words didn't irritate me, I would appreciate that free show. I then stared at her face and frowned.
Don't she understand it's against human's right to enslave someone, yes? Wait!
I suddenly realized the problem.
This is another world, a fictional world where Slave seems to be normal if I remember correctly. Furthermore, she's a young girl. How old is she again? Fifteen? Sixteen? I need to explain it properly so she can understand.
I inhaled deeply before releasing my breath through my nose. Then, I stared at her seriously.
"Listen well, Shera, you wouldn't mind if I call you that, would you?"
"Nope!"
Shera responded quickly, popping the 'P' in her answer, and shook her head, making her glimmering golden hair flying in the air.
"Anyway, you asked me why I destroyed the [Enslavement Collar], yes? Now, think about this. Wouldn't you accept if you are enslaved against your will?"
I patiently explained to her and she became thoughtful. Shera tilted her head; her eyes looked up the sky, and her index finger touched her chin. In addition, she had an extremely pretty face; it made a picturesque scene that would take away any inexperienced man's breath. As a matter of fact, I almost sunk into a daze by her naturalness in posing cutely like that. Her innocence and naivete just increased her charm further. She was a dangerous girl, I realized this fact.
"...I bet'cha, I bet'cha. I don't wanna be enslaved against my will. So you don't like to be enslaved against your will? I understand, I understand."
Shera bumped her fist into her palm in the stereotypical 'I get it!' reaction in anime and manga. Then, she stared at me with a pair of pleading eyes; the so-called puppy eyes. I felt that she really didn't get what I meant. She then pleaded to me with upturned eyes, her hand clasping together in front of her chin.
"Would you become my [Enslaved Summon], pretty please?"
I bit back my urge to sigh in exasperation. As you expected, she didn't get it. Though she was a beauty with a body that would pass as a sex-icon and was said to be a genius, her mind was working in a mysterious way.
Deadpanning at her, I crossed my arm in front of my chest and said: "No! I like my freedom, thank you very much!"
"Buuuut, I've summoned you here! Shouldn't you repay it by becoming my [Enslaved Summon], yes?"
"No means no!"
Shera whined and pouted childishly, and I denied firmly.
"Boho! Why are you being the pain in the butts?!"
Shera booed at me, crossed her arms under her breasts, and pouted harder than before. I said nothing and kept my steady deadpan at her. We stared into the other's eyes as a tense silence descended.
A few moments later, Shera broke the standoff first and said: "What do you want for accepting to be my [Enslaved Summon]?" She'd dropped her hands to each of her sides and looked like she was resigned. Her gaze spoke her desperation. "Buuut, please don't ask something impossible or expensive from me. My fund's very low as of now," she added quickly with a troubled gaze.
Seeing her troubled expression, I felt the irresistible urge to poke fun on her and said: "So you're poor? The cost to maintain me is very expensive, you know."
Shera flinched back slightly when she heard that. As her troubled expression became deeper, she said: "Can you tell me how much?"
Your body… Become my women, or it was what I wanted to say, but I held back the urge to say it loudly. In its place, I said: "Three luxurious meals every day, high-quality room in a hotel or an inn, and no work!"
"T-that!" She sounded appalled at my answer. "Are you trying to make me go bankrupt? And what do you mean by no work? Why should I care for you if you're only going to waste away my money?" She narrowed her eyes accusingly.
"Because I love my freedom so much, you dumb elf!"
I responded with a flat tone. Shera deflated and fell down on the floor, sitting on her soft bouncy ass; she had a heartbreaking resigned face. At her pitiful reaction, I bit back my urge to flinch in remorse. Usually, I wouldn't care when any woman showed a heartbroken face after I ditched them. Strangely, I felt remorseful when I saw Shera like that. Perhaps, it was her transcendental beauty that was affecting me. Anyway, I felt bad after she became like that.
"Alright! Let's have a deal."
I exclaimed with an irritated tone. I quickly calmed down my irritation when I realized I could use this chance to make her fall in love with me.
"Deal?"
Looking up at me with her upturned eyes, Shera expressed her confusion openly on her face and in her tone.
"Yes. A deal. I maybe won't become your [Enslaved Summon] or whatever. But, we can make a deal." Shera became hopeful when she realized the meaning behind my words. Before she could say something that'd change my decision, I continued: "But, first, you must tell me why you are so desperate to turn me into your [Enslaved Summon]!"
Actually, I knew the reason, but I wanted to hear it out from her mouth.
"Well, you see, there are many reasons that I can't—"
"None of that! Speak truthfully or forget about the deal!"
Shera flinched when I cut her words sharply. She made a troubled expression as she weighed her decision briefly. Then, she sighed in resignation and said: "Alright! I'll say. Actually..."
In a nutshell, she was actually a princess of the Elven Kingdom of Greenwood. She had run away, discarding her status as princess and everything else, for her freedom. Also, she was sick of her older brother insistence to have sexual intercourse with her. Her brother, Keera L. Greenwood, used 'the continuation of royal bloodline' as his reason to jump into her pants. Shera couldn't accept it and felt grossed out because of her brother's desire. Thus, she ran away after taking some treasures, which she sold to fund her running away. She planned to be an adventurer in the Border City, Faltra, and lived her life freely.
The reason why she needed me as her [Enslaved Summon] was because she needed the power to live her life freely as an adventurer. She too wished for a companion. Hence, she invoked the [Summon Magic] to get a Summon. In the end, she summoned me here.
"I see..."
I finally responded, nodded my head, and stared at Shera who looked down at her lap; she was still in her sitting position on the floor while I was standing in front of her. Overall, her story matched with the knowledge I had about her background. I'd read [How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord] Light Novels until volume 7 where Diablo and his companions visited the territory of elves, both normal and dark elves, to deal with Greenwood Kingdom's crisis.
After pondering for a brief moment, I opened my mouth and confidently said: "I have another idea and this idea will help you out."
—Hook.
Shera face formed a hopeful expression; she waited for my next words impatiently.
"My idea is for us to be a partner. You need my power to grasp your freedom while I find you worth the trouble because you have summoned me, Demon God Hajime."
I shamelessly spouted bullshit at her. I wasn't the real Demon God Hajime Nagumo, only this body was.
—Line.
After listening to it, she sunk in deep thought. A few moments later, she made a serious expression—as serious as she could be—and nodded her head firmly.
"I accept," She finally replied.
—and sinker.
I nodded my head firmly and offered a handshake. She accepted it. The next moment, I activated one of my [Skill] called [Soul Bond]; a symbol appeared around her neck like a collar with a heart shaped mark in the center of her neck.
Shera frowned when she felt something was amiss. A moment later, her breath grew short, her skin turned red, and she slumped down the floor as her feet couldn't support her.
"W-what... What's this? What's happening? Why do I feel restless suddenly?"
She asked me in puzzlement. I needed to bit back my urge to grin as the [Soul Bond] activated.
