Hiya, this is my first Harvest moon fanfic it is based on the brunette girl in harvest moon ds cute and is the same from another wonderful life whichever you know her from. It is based on her new found love and the hardships she faces whilst accomplishing her destined task. Give it a read and please R&R thankyou x

As the morning dawned, fresh rays of welcoming sunshine shone through the windows of a small home, falling across a single wooden bed carved delicately with fine detail, the oak frame wrapped across with a thick lilac duvet. Tucked up in the bed was a young lady who would soon set out on a journey that would change her life forever in encountering the running of a large farm with many forms of potential, meeting new friends, finding her true love and ultimately succeeding in her destiny.

Pulling back the duvet and leaving the warmth of her bed on that frosty spring morning the girl dressed in blue jeans with a royal blue denim skirt and a white t-shirt lined in purple with a lilac design across the centre. She then went to the mirror meeting her amethyst eyes as she brushed her waist length brunette hair, and bringing it up into a high ponytail she then finally made herself a simple breakfast.

It was after this that the girl made to leave her small home on her first day in this fresh and beautiful countryside village called Forget-Me-Knot valley, which she had arrived in the night before to find no one around and hearing a celebration for new year was occurring she went straight to bed leaving the boxes to yet be opened and remove her belongings, unaware of how her life would soon change. Yet her departure was interrupted as a girl somewhat older than her then made her appearance. Dressed fully in black with wavy blonde hair that hung around her shoulders giving a contrast of light and dark, yet with the ruby eyes and black witch's hat it finished off the darkened appearance. 'Ah, Angel here you are, the harvest King has sent you a personal message,' she told the bewildered girl handing over a folded note which Angel tentatively took and unfolded to read.

Angel,

I have left you with a task of great importance, as a last wish your mother requested for you to become successful in life and so the harvest goddess took it upon herself to make this happen. However her irresponsible remark about my erm…hair…led for her to be turned to stone and the harvest sprites banished from this world. It is up to you to release them and return them with hard and dedicated work.

Yours Truly

The Harvest King

Angel re-read the note and frowned at the seemingly serious situation she had been faced with, but the girl who sat impatiently on a broom in front said, 'now can I read it? The harvest king wouldn't let me lay eyes on it before,' and so taking the note from Angel's loose grasp, the blonde haired girl scanned the note her expression turning to a sigh of exasperation and then a look of confusion. 'Hair? Since when does the Harvest King have hair? I thought he was…'

'DO NOT SAY IT' a voice roared over the pair Angel cowering as the witch princess said indignantly, 'don't you tell me what to do!'

'ARE YOU KEEN ON THE IDEA OF MEETING THE HARVEST GODDESS'S FATE?!'

'Alright, alright sheesh take something to relax you for once,' the witch princess answered back the booming voice leaving as quickly as it came. Angel stood in silence at the confusion she was experiencing, from the already hectic morning forming the witch now more calmly stated, 'well that's settled then you have to rescue the Harvest Goddess, or my life without her would be meaningless…no not meaningless that's a bit strong…well it would be boring! So you have to her back okay?' Angel nodded half fearfully as the girl opposing her now smiled. 'Good, by the way I'm the Witch Princess of the valley don't forget it and er…work hard, am I actually saying that?' The girl disappeared and Angel sat on the edge of her bed clutching the note in her hand.

'What have I just gotten myself into?' She fretted unable to dwell on the matter as Takakura knocked on the door, his rough voice carrying through 'can I come in?' Angel walked over to the door and opened it after quickly putting the note in her bedside drawer, before being led to her first day of explanations and lectures about the farms history and what she would have to do to bring Blossom Ranch back up to a good standard. The mental notes seemed endless as the aging mentor stood over Angel watching her till the ground with a rusted hoe, glad of the leather gloves she wore which gathered the never ending splinters from the handle, preventing them from digging into her hands.

After planting the many radish seeds and watering each plot of land they covered, Takakura didn't leave room for a break but continued showing her the rest of the farm land, which consequently lay empty and bare awaiting plants, trees, buildings anything to make use of the hard soil beneath her feet. During that first day Angel had felt the time quickly slip away along with her energy, and by the time she had become acquainted with the mayor, Angel was more than ready to go to bed never once anticipating that she would find herself in many unbelievable situations which, in turn would bring with them a subtle twist of love. Leading Angel and those involved into a story they could never have expected.

The first week in Forget-Me-Not Valley was not quite as tough as Angel would've thought, after introducing herself and becoming more informed she felt more at home, and that she was beginning to fit into the quaint little village. With its many villagers each with their own unique personality, Angel found those she would get on with better and more quickly than others such as Celia and Muffy both of which greeted her cheerfully and told her anything she was unsure of. 'It's about time someone took on that farm,' Muffy's boss Griffin told Angel explaining that for years it was stood going to waster, 'I'm sure you'll do a great job fixing the place up though,' he finished confidently. 'At Forget-Me-Not Valley we all try to look out for each other.' Angel had welcomed this support gratefully as she sat sipping her "morning mist," unwinding at being able to sit down for a while and just enjoy the light conversation.

Feeling the refreshing cool breeze as she set off from the bar into the dark evening, before going home Angel took a walk waving to Marlin brightly as he passed her. The handsome guy who seemed unfortunately unfriendly towards most, but it didn't put her off leaving her only more determined to befriend Marlin, which she thought about as she walked on letting her thoughts wander absent-mindedly as she strolled up to Romana's mansion unaware it was there her life would soon be dramatically changed.

As Angel approached the mansion which stood in darkness, the brunette haired farmer froze. A figure emerged from the tall doors apparently leaving in a hurry when he was brought to a stop upon seeing Angel, the figure then stepped forth into the moonlight making his appearance visible. He was revealed as a young man with handsome features, his shoulder length hair straight and sleek which shone silver under the light. His eyes had a similar silvery colour wrapped in ice blue, he was tall and thin with a smile that could've entranced the young beauty before him who looked into the eyes of this man she had never seen before 'hehe, hello beautiful walking alone at night?' His voice was smooth and fairly gentle Angel noticed as he so easily flattered her, 'who are you?' She softly asked the man pausing at her sweet voice before answering. 'You may call me Phantom Skye, hehe. I am quite the ladies man and a prince of the stars.' Angel liked the name… he seemed very self-confident but mysterious and somewhat cute…'hey you!' came an angry tone which Angel recognised as Lumina seeing the girl walk up to Skye. 'You're that thief who leaves notes forewarning your appearance,' she said flatly unimpressed and considerably annoyed.

'Hehe, hold up beautiful don't let raw anger steal away your beauty,' Skye said effortlessly watching as Lumina's attitude instantly turned, 'really you think so?' she replied giggling turning a deep shade of red as Angel looked on when Skye remarked, 'time to jet.' He then left abruptly with Lumina in close pursuit; Angel watching now able to believe him being a "ladies man," yet something about this new character sparked an interest, a feeling that she pondered over momentarily when Lumina returned announcing the thief had escaped. Angel however doubted that Lumina minded this as she went back into her home still blushing.

Getting back to the farm Angel went to bed only to fall into a sweet dream of her and Skye making the brunette haired girl almost yearn to meet "the prince of the stars" once again. Over the next couple of days Angel had thought of Skye more than expected and as she watered her crops pleased to harvest some at last, he still played on her mind. No one seemed to mention Skye around the village and in the end she wasn't convinced he lived in the Valley which Lumina had confirmed that night. 'We're all supporting you,' the mayor told Angel confidently as he paid her for the items shipped the farmer now used to his frequent moral support, when he then mentioned her settling in and asked whether she had made many friends in the village. 'Yes I have really, everyone's so polite and cheerful' Angel replied much to Thomas's delight who encouraged her to continue building good relationships with the residents before departing from the farm.

Nine pm and Angel came from the dig site with jewellery in her bag from the late exploring she decided to do that evening, and putting away her leather bag of tools and brushes for extracting finds from the well structured site she noticed the bottle of wine in her bag, remembering she had brought it for Marlin and so on the way home Angel called in with it. 'Hey is it for me? My thanks are in order,' Marlin said gratefully taking the bottle of wine 'if you need Celia or Vesta they're both upstairs, Celia's resting at the moment…'

'well actually I came to see you,' Angel cut in Marlin looking both surprised and shocked, 'well umm I don't know what we can talk about' he said quickly rubbing his hand against the back of his neck nervously. 'Well what's you favourite food?' Angel suggested as a question Marlin pondering over the simply question he had just been asked before beginning to laugh a little, 'you know no one has ever asked me that before…I guess it would be…'

'Whats going on here then' came Vesta's voice as she walked down the wooden staircase, 'nothing Angel just dropped round' Marlin explained rushing it as Vesta eyed up her brothers strange behaviour smirking as she greeted Angel before heading back upstairs muttering to herself.

'Well I hope you like the wine,' Angel said finally making her way to the door when Marlin piped up, 'are you okay?' Angel turning to face him again as he added, 'I mean running that farm all on your own?' Angel happy to see his softer side surfacing as she assured him she was alright. 'Well if you ever have any problems come and see me,' Angel was touched by Marlin's offer and thanked him as she left the front door ready to go home. However out of the corner of her eye something made her stop, walking down the hilled entrance to Forget-Met-Not valley was none other that Skye.
