CHAPTER 1: Nate and Fray
?: Faiyā Sōru! Museigen fureimuhōnchāji! *FIRE SOUL! UNLIMITED FLAME HORN CHARGE!*
?: Gah!
(On the streets of Michi Kuzuku, two individuals are seen wreaking havoc. The market people's normal day of conducting market activities has turned into a nightmare. The townspeople are getting induced with frustration as this is the 4th straight day that the two individuals have been causing destruction on the very busy streets.)
?: NAAAAATE! I WILL KILL YOU!
Nate: Fray, up top!
(This is Nate Azuki, He is a D1* Level Tamakatta, or Soul Cutter* from Rōnchi City, and is a Fire Tamakatta. He wants to be the strongest of all the Tamakatta in the Tama World, one who achieves the title of Shinseikatta. Another fellow Fire Soul Tamakatta and he had been doing some…gambling and Nate had lost in the bet. But Nate has been trying to dodge providing the money that was on the line and Jace Maddokuraun has been hunting Nate down ever since.)
Fray: Nate, hold on!
(This is Fray Azuki, He is Nate's Soul Frog, or Sourukaeru. He is extremely cheerful and loves to eat bugs. It being a Sourukaeru, it possesses some Soul abilities, it's being relatively, Fire Soul. He can grow his body from the tiny frog state to a bigger, larger, and bulkier state therefore being able to transport Nate and even hold his own in physical combat. Nate and He have been best friends since Nate's younger days. Whenever one is in trouble, the other is always there for them.)
Nate: Fraaay, niiice! We did it!
Jace: NAAAAATE! WHEN I GET YOU, I'LL KILL YOU!
(Nate and Fray eventually reach a picnic area at the southwestern part of Rōnchi City. As Nate hops of, he notices an information sheet on the wall of a recreation building.)
*COME SHOW YOUR POWER! IT'S THE 1ST TAMAKATTA INVITATIONAL. IT WILL BE HELD IN THE OH, SO GRAND IZō ARENA IN THE GRAND CITY OF IZō. THE INVITATIONAL WILL BE HELD FROM MARCH 14-MARCH 16, Y2016. SEE YOU THERE!*
Nate: Fray, do you know what this is?
Fray: Mmm..
Nate: This is it! This could be our chance to test our strength against other Tamakatta! Oh man, all that training is leading up to this!
Fray: Nate, I think you're right! Yeah! It's in Izō as well, the biggest city in all of Kogasu!
Nate: Yeah, Rōnchi's sister city. It's in 2 days we need to get a move on to Izō.
Fray: Yeah, I think so too!
Nate: We head out at sunrise, Fray!
Fray: Yeah!
(In the darkness of a nearby alleyway, Jace is listening over. This might not end up well…)
Jace: Heh heh, Nate Azuki, heh heh, this could be my chance as well, heh heh. My chance to KILL YOU. Hahahahaha!
(The sun is setting as Nate and Fray are heading out of the area. The Tamakatta Invitational is just around the corner!)
(As the sun is rising, Nate and Fray are seen heading out the Rōnchi City Grand Gate. Nate isn't looking very um…good.)
Nate: …
Fray: Naaate! Get yourself together! You were the one who wanted to head out so early!
Nate: Hew, hehhh, Fray as soon as we arrive in Izō we must get some soumen, how 'bout it?
Fray: Yeah!
