AN: Okay, this is my first ever published fanfic (in english). Be gentle. :D English is not my main language, so there might be some typos and other stuff.

This is just random drabble, nothing very serious. :D I want to write some silly Mordecai x Maya stuff, since I love the idea of them being together. ^^

Echo Devices

" Alright, get back to me when you're done with that." Mordecai Echoed to Maya, Axton, Zero and Salvador, as they were running yet another tedious ( As Mordecai liked to call them) errand for him.

Then he lazily threw the Echo device on the table and lifted his feet on the chair.

He leaned back and closed his sore, tired eyes, only to be interrupted by Lilith.

"Mordecai, what are you doing? We were supposed to get the data files from opportunity."

Mordecai scoffed and looked at her, she had annoyed look on her face, obviously Brick was already waiting.

" Meh, can't ya two get them without me? I'm kinda tired and I don't feel like running around killing some bots."

"Bullshit."

He raised his eyebrows at her answer, this was not like her. Yeah, she usually tried pushing him around, but she was never this persistent.

" Ya okay, Lil?" he asked, with all that previous laziness gone from his voice.

Lilith stared at him. Mordecai noticed the slight look of concern when she spoke.

" You never go out anymore, you just lock yourself in here. I mean it's fine if you need to be alone, but you are just... You're doing nothing, nothing at all. "

Mordecai sighed and dropped his feet from the chair. She was right, but he wasn't really excluding himself, not really. He certainly had his own reasons to stay alone in the control room, but he didn't want to share those reasons with anyone, especially not with Lilith. He had to say something though.

" I'm just tired of this shit. It's nice to see someone else working their asses off for a change, it's refreshing. "

He grinned a little, trying to get a small smile out of Lilith. He was successful, as tiny grin escaped on her lips even though she tried to act serious.

" What, you like to watch the new vault hunters? Or you like to watch her?" Lilith teased.

Shit, she was on to him. Well, nothing to lose anymore. Mordecai had a smug expression on his face when he turned face to Lilith fully.

" Well, if you want to put it that way, then yes, can't blame me for admiring her work, I mean, you should see her on battlefield, the way she uses that Phaselock of hers and -"

"Wait a minute, you haven't been on battlefield with her. How do you know that?" Lilith interrupted him, looking at him with sceptical look on her face. " Did you hack her echo device?"

"What? Hers? No way." He grinned and continued. " Why would I hack her echo device, if I wanted to see her? Obviously, I had to hack Axton's echo device."

Lilith buried her face in her hands. " God, you are such an ass. Do you have any idea how creepy that is? Oh god you are such a moron." She said, half laughing.

She dropped her hands so she could give Mordecai a dirty look for doing something so ridiculous, she glanced at the echo device laying on the table.

" Is that your echo device? Why is the green light blinking? Did you call someone?"

Mordecai flung towards the echo and grabbed it. He wanted to see which light she was talking about.

" Communications: On"
