Okay, this is part 2 to "If I could take it all back". This one is Matt's P.O.V. I do not own Death Note characters, or story. Its going to be short XD.

When I first moved to the orphanage, I was so nervous. I remember my first friend though, it was Mello. He was an ass, and he always beat me up, but I didn't care. I remember one day after getting so many bruises and cuts from Mello, he just randomly punched my face after a game of volleyball. I avoided him after that, because I thought I did something to offend him, and I didn't want him to hate me. However, I later came upon this group of bullies beating him up. After I kicked their asses I told Mello I would protect him. That I would die before anything ever happened to him, and he would live longer than me. I also told him I would always be by his side. I felt the bullet enter my body, followed by another. I would die for you, I wasn't kidding. I never really found anything I had in common with L, until now. No matter what their personality was like, we both treasured our very first friend. I'm dying for you Mello, I hope your plan works, I hope you surpass Near, and … I hope you live a long, and happy life. Because those were the only words I never said to you. That, and I love you.
