She gently put her hand on his shoulder so that she wouldn't startle him.

"Ronon."

He turned his head so that he could look at her.

"Teyla." He greeted her in his deep voice.

He turned his attention back to the empty glass in front of him.

"We have all been looking for you." She said as she sat down next to him at the bar.

"Why?"

She smiled a little. "I was going to ask you if you felt like sparring with me, but you were not in your room. I looked for you but could not find you. John and Rodney helped and then I heard that you had gone off-world. It was not very nice to trick Darren into thinking that you were going here to trade."

He shrugged.

"Why did you?" She asked.

"I just wanted to get away."

"Is something wrong?"

He shook his head.

"Ronon."

The tone in her voice told him that she didn't believe him.

"I just needed some time alone and it seems impossible to get that at Atlantis. And you can't really get off-world that easily without being on a mission either."

"You would have been allowed to leave if you just asked, we are not prisoners."

"I didn't want a lot of questions asked."

"Do you not think you will be asked more questions if you just disappear without telling anyone?"

"I… didn't think about that."

She smiled. "So it would seem." She put an arm around his waist. "Come on, let's get you home, it's late."

"Okay."

She helped him stand up and walk back to the gate; he was rather wobbly from the alcohol he had been consuming.

No one, except some guards in the gate room, was awake when they got back.

Teyla was glad that John and Rodney weren't waiting for them, that they were going to leave Ronon alone. For the moment at least. They all knew what state he would be in when they found out where he'd gone.

"Let's get you to bed." She said as they entered his room.

He simply grunted in response.

She gently helped him onto the bed.

"Goodnight." She said and turned around to leave.

He grabbed her arm. "Teyla."

"Yes, Ronon?" She frowned.

"Why did you come after me?" His hand slid down her arm to rest around her wrist.

"To make sure you were alright and to take you home."

He smiled a little, his eyes closed.

"This is the second time you've taken care of me when I've had too much to drink."

She took his hand away from her wrist with her other hand and gently squeezed it.

"I would prefer if you would talk to me, or someone else if you wish, next time you feel bad instead of sneaking out to get drunk and leave the rest of us worried about you."

"Okay, next time I'll talk to you."

She smiled and let go of his hand

"Good. Now get some sleep. Goodnight, Ronon."
