It's hard for Jade to understand the events that lead up to this. She supposed it all started with the movie. Tori had found a film that Sikowitz had starred in years ago. He'd mentioned it in class once and since then they'd been curious about it. Tori had invited everyone to her house to watch it. Jade had actually been eager to watch it. She wanted to enjoy watching Sikowitz's budding acting career crash and burn. It was fun to see someone full of hopes and dreams getting crushed. However, Sikowitz only appeared briefly at the beginning, playing the role of a bellhop. To their disappointment, he did a good job. None of his oddities or eccentricities shone through. He just came in, said his lines, and left. He actually sold the role pretty well for what was basically a walk on role.

After that, the movie was pretty boring. With Sikowitz's part over, no one was really interested in watching it. Tori tried to keep the gang together. "Come on guys, maybe Sikowitz comes back at the end for the big reveal."

However, as the night went on, people slowly left. First was Cat, who had to help her brother as he looked after his boss's dog. Then Robbie had to leave after Rex was accidently smashed. Of course, Robbie was too distraught to drive. Beck ended up having to take Rex and Robbie to the hospital. Andre joined them. In the end, only Jade and Tori remained watching the movie.

The two were sitting right next to each other. Originally, Beck sat between the two of them. Jade had cuddled up in his lap. Now that he was gone, there was no one to keep Jade and Tori apart. Normally, Jade would've used the opportunity to mess with Tori. Say something cutting about her clothes or find a way to play her against Trina. But she was just too tired. She didn't really want to do anything to Tori. Then Jade leaned into Tori. She hadn't meant anything by it. She'd just felt tired and instinctively rested on Tori, thinking she was Beck. Tori didn't seem to mind. Where Jade would've yelled at her if the situations were reversed, Tori wrapped her arms around Jade, hugging her tightly.

Jade didn't say anything about this. Instead of giving Tori an angry retort, she just rested her head on her chest. Tori's arms felt so warm around her. Jade could feel herself start to drift off. When she woke up, she'd having some mean words for Tori, but now she just wanted to sleep. There was something about being in Tori's arms that was so comfortable.
