Truthful Eyes
I looked into his eyes,
I knew he spoke true,
His words, 'I love you',
Rang loudly through the room.
He looks at me with deep blue eyes,
Waiting for me to respond,
Hoping for me to say I love you too,
Smiling, I said, 'I have always loved you'.
He take me in his arms,
I look up at him,
Leaning in, we kiss each other,
Breaking apart, we sweetly whispered, 'I love you'.
Hand-in-hand we walk away,
Smiles tell what words don't,
With knowing eyes they smile,
Approval from them makes our fear less.
