Chloe and Beca had been in a relationship for almost 10 months and it was getting well…a little boring.

"Chloe, is something wrong?" Beca asked curiously.

Chloe looked at the brunette and smiled sadly. "Nothing's wrong Beca," she lied.

Beca knew Chloe well enough to know when she wasn't telling the truth, but she didn't want to push Chloe on the matter.

"Okay." Beca said almost incapably.

The next day Beca woke up to an empty room.

She must be at rehearsals. Beca dragged herself out of bed and got dressed.

When Beca arrived at the rehearsal location, she was just about to push open the door when she heard two people whispering through the crack.

"It just doesn't feel the same, Aubrey..." Chloe trailed off quietly.

Beca knew it was wrong to eavesdrop on their private conversation but something inside her told her not to enter the room yet.

"You wouldn't leave the poor girl, would you?" Aubrey asked curiously.

Chloe sighed sadly and said "It's like I don't feel anything for her anymore."

Beca felt her world stop as hot tears made their way to the surface of her eyes. Chloe couldn't possible mean what she just said. I must have heard wrong…

Aubrey listened intently as Chloe leaned in said smugly "I think I love you."

Beca froze. No. did Chloe just say she loves Aubrey?

Beca lost control of her emotions and let out a devastated cry. Chloe and Aubrey both turned their heads to the door just in time to see Beca running down the hallway.

"Shit. I didn't mean for her to hear any of this!" Chloe spoke desperately. "I'd never intentionally want to hurt her." She looked to Aubrey with wide eyes.

Aubrey frowned at Chloe and scoffed "It's your fault that you chose to discuss all of this with me. Now Beca's going to be furious with me too!" The two girls stood in silence, lost in their own worried thoughts.

Beca ran back to her dorm and frantically threw her belongings into a suitcase, wiping her tear-stained cheeks every few seconds as new ones took place.

I have to get out of Barden, Beca thought. There's no reason for me to stay here anymore. No one for me to stay here for, she corrected herself.

Beca took one last glance around her room, then turned and walked out of Barden, never once looking back.

Meanwhile Chloe and Aubrey rushed back to Beca's dorm room after deciding to check on her. Aubrey rolled her eyes when they realized all of Beca's things were gone. "This is your fault, Chloe."

Chloe ignored her as her eyes landed on a note with Beca's handwriting on it.

Dear Chloe,

I want you to know that despite how much you hurt me, I still love you and hope you're happy with Aubrey. Please don't try to find me. I don't want to be found.

Aubrey, take care of her and don't you dare hurt her. I don't want Chloe to ever feel the way I do now…because it's unbearable.

I'll miss the Bellas...especially you Chloe.

Sincerely Yours,

Rebeca Carmella Mitchell

Chloe was crying; her tears leaving tiny droplets on the letter that shook in her hand as she wept. Aubrey hugged Chloe and said "I'm sorry."

"You shouldn't apologize Bree." Chloe sniffled. "It's not your fault."

Beca boarded a plane headed to L.A, grasping her ticket like a lifeline.

I can't believe I just... Beca shook the thought out of her head. No. This was no time for rationality.

Beca didn't realize she was crying when a stewardess with chocolate-colored, curly brown hair appeared with a drink cart and asked "Are you alright, sweety?"

Beca looked up at the stewardess with wide eyes and nodded.

"My name is Lola." the stewardess said. "You look like a college student."

" I am a college student. My father is sending me to L.A. I'm Beca," she added.

Lola smiled warmly. " It's nice to meet you Beca. Let me know if you need anything."

Lola pushed the cart down to the next row and Beca absentmindedly thought "She was kind of pretty. Wait, what?" Her cheeks flushed with chagrin.

The plane landed and Beca said goodbye to Lola as she departed for the baggage claim. An hour later she arrived back at home.

Beca threw herself on her bed and let her tears flow freely.

"Why would she replace me?" Beca sobbed. "I know Aubrey is her best friend and all but...am I really THAT boring?" Beca said to no one.
