Home, Sweet Home

It had been a long and trying day, and what Lucy really needed right now was to go home and have a nice long relaxing bath. Sighing heavily she unlocked her door to find… OK this was not happening.

Lucy had a small apartment. It was a nice apartment. She liked it very much, enough to pay the extortionate rent each month. It was her safe little haven, only occasionally invaded by outsiders (like every week at the minimum, but hey that's the price you pay for nice non-guild accommodation). She had not been expecting this.

Inside her room, there was… There was… OK this was just too bizarre.

"I'm pretty sure it's actually physically impossible for the entire guild to be in my apartment. Like you must have broken some universal laws in order to get in here."

"Wouldn't be the first time", pointed out Natsu, lolling on her sofa as if he owned it. Well he owned part of it. The rest was Wendy, Carla, Happy, Mira, Romeo, Elfman and Ever. The bed was taken by Erza, Gray, Juvia, Laxus and Fried. Bisca and Anzack were playing with Asuka on the floor. Warren was actually hanging from the ceiling somehow. Bixlow was on top of her chest of draws. Levy was sitting on the bookshelf partially supported by Gajeel, who was leaning on the wall. Jet and Droy were inside the wardrobe. Panther Lily was orbiting the room (in his miniature form, thankfully). She glanced into the bathroom, where Cana waved cheerfully from the (empty) bathtub she was sharing with Lisanna, Laki and Kagura. Macao, Wakaba, Chickentiger and Max were somehow all inside the bathroom cabinet. Master Makarov was sitting on the wastepaper basket looking completely calm. She would go on, but by this point the weirdness of the dimensions of the room was causing her links to reality to break down.

"And why are you ALL HERE!" yelled Lucy, who had been very reasonable up to this point, all things considered.

"Well you know the guild hall's still being rebuilt…" explained Mira.

"Again."

"Hem, anyway, well Fairy Hills is also being renovated." added Erza, who somehow had managed to fit her cake in with her. There should logically be no room for just Erza! How did the cake fit as well!

"Why?" Lucy was now tapping her foot on the ground. This was a gesture that had been known to terrify some wizards into fleeing with fear, naming no names (Natsu and Gray, I'm looking at you).

"There was a minor altercation." posited Lisanna. At this point Erza, Cana, Juvia, Lisanna, Mira and Ever had the decency to look a little sheepish. Wendy even more so.

"Right. And that explains this how?" There was a build-up of tension going on inside Lucy's head. Pretty soon the dam was going to break.

"Well since we don't have a base, we thought we'd all crash at your place" offered Gray, who had managed to lose three layers of clothing since entering. Where they had gone was anyone's guess.

"WHAT?!" this was so very, very not good it was approaching the event horizon of badness and heading towards unbelievably awful. Lucy was going to have to kick the entire guild out of her room. Like all of them. How?! How were they all in here?!

"Only for a week or so" offered Master Mavis, who was sitting calmly on the windowsill, her legs trailing, looking for all the world as innocent as the babe unborn.

This was too much for Lucy, who promptly fainted from pure stress. You could have distilled that stuff and sold it to someone who really wanted to be stressed for some reason. The world is full of weirdoes. Gray and Natsu high-fived (proving my point). "Told you it would be awesome." said Natsu.

"Well you didn't actually come up with the plan did you? It was the Fairy Tactician." Gray nodded towards the seated mage, who was curtseying and accepting applause. Some people might have thought that it was going a bit far to invent a whole new form of magic just to prank a guild mate.

They would be wrong.

"Does think we should tell Lucy-chan the truth when she wakes up?" queried Juvia hesitantly. They all stared at her dazed form thoughtfully.

"Naah. Let's see how long we can keep this up."
