I was 13 when I found out. It was hard for me. When you find out you aren't who you think you are... sometimes it's easy.. and sometimes it's hard. When I was two months old, my parents found me on their doorstep. In a basket. It said Call her Reyna and had my birthdate. Nothing else. I seached for months, trying to find my birthparents.

But my search ended on my 14th birthday. When the parents I grew up with, died in a car accident. It made the front page. 'Mayor and his Wife Die in Fatal Car Accident.' It scared me.. a lot. But I thought that finding my birthparents wouldn't help. It might, just might, make it worse.

Then, after living with my cousin, Renee, for a year, I recieved a letter.

---- Remainder of story to be told in 3rd person, until noted other wise----
-- 15th Birthday, July 21st, 2001, Third Person --

"Reyna! Mail!" Renee Solotama called to her young cousin. Her cousin ran down the stairs and into the kitchen where Renee sat with her husband, Akira.

"Who's it from, Renee? Did Sara send it?" Reyna asked as she sat in between Jason and Renee.

"It's adressed to Reyna, and has no sender. It's not Sara, here." Renee answered handing her cousin the letter. Reyna took the letter and opened the envelope.

'Happy 15th Birthday, my daughter. I'm sorry I left you on a doorstep, nearly 15 years ago... but your father was near, and he couldn't find out about you. My life was in as much danger as yours. I'm sorry. My name is Sarai Higurashi. My life had been reckless, but you lit it up. I didn't have a choice, but I wish I did. I had you when I was only 14. I had run away and joined a cult, when I met your father. I was a stupid little girl.

But my past can no longer haunt me, and I want to see you. If you can, I want you to rent a room at the Orthadox Inn on Sakura Ave,in Tokyo on July 21st. I hope to see you there, my daughter. Your mother, Sarai.' the letter read. Reyna read it over countless times, trying to believe it was just a joke. But she couldn't.

"Renee.. it's from my mother." Reyna said quietly.

"She died, Reyna. It can't be." Renee quaintly replied.

"Not her. The woman who left me on a doorstep, 14 years and 10 months ago." she replied. Renee choaked on her coffee and Akira looked at Reyna in confusion.

"What's her name, Reyna?" Akira asked carefully.

"Sarai Higurashi." Reyna replied, before running up into her room, leaving two dumbfounded adults to ponder what she'd said.

A/N: Okay.. was the prolouge okay? Reyna is Kagome by the way. She just doesn't know it yet. Should she meet Inuyasha through the well or should it be AU?

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ! I am leaving (with my sisters) on July 4th to go to camp. I'll be gone till July 9th, so that means no updates. Okay, I'll shut up now and post this.
