Chapter Title: Grieving

Matthew couldn't believe it. It had really been ten years ago today. Ten years since he had lost her. The woman whom he had deeply loved; Gillian. He had been in love before; but something about Gillian was...different. Different from Anna, Katerina, or any other girl he had dated. Maybe it was her unique laugh or her assertions of her "awesomeness" . Or maybe it was the fact that she cared for him more than anyone else in his life did. She made him feel important; like he mattered and wasn't completely invisible. Whatever it was, he missed her. He prayed almost every day that some sort of miracle would happen and he could see her again; but it never happened. She was gone and was never coming back.
'Je t'aime, Gillian" he said softly, " Je me souviendrai de toi. I always will."
