My Feudal Friend
This was actually a descriptive essay assigned by my high school teacher (which I got a 6 out of 6- THAT'S AN AMAZING SCORE!) and I decided to describe Inuyasha through the eyes of our wistful Kagome.
O.o
Actually, a lot of my essays are somehow tied either to Inuyasha or Fullmetal Alchemist, so this probably didn't surprise my teacher tooo much!
XD
Dislcaimer: I do not own Inuyasha
I gaze upon the lounging half-demon with a longing for him to open up to me. For so long, this son of the Lord of the Western Lands has kept his heart clammed up and hidden behind a curtain of stubbornness.
Inuyasha… I think to myself, emanating a troubled sigh from my lips. Why won't you open up to me? Please! Trust me; break the dam, allowing me to swim with you in your deluge of troubling emotions. You don't have to suffer with your calloused past by yourself!
The half demon/half human sits peacefully in one of the many boughs jutting out of the towering tree. With the aid of a soft breeze, his long, solver hair tosses with the gust of air. Though his arms are crossed over his chest, and his hands are buried deep in the sleeves of his red Rob of the Fire Rat, a nearly impenetrable material, I know every characteristic etched into his palms. Inuyasha's hands have always protected me with a gentle touch while, on the contrary, they've calloused from holding a sword that slays a hundred foes with one swing. His claws have sliced the very soul from an adversary, and yet they don't hesitate to caress my face or brush a lock of raven hair out of my eyes. If I were injured during a battle, a rare casualty thanks to Inuyasha, he would hold me in a tight embrace in his protective arms in fear of losing me forever.
I peer between the intertwining branches for a better look of my companion instead of a blob of red. I creep around the base of the magnificent tree, looking for the perfect spot, when my eyes catch a flickering motion from above. I freeze, fearing I've been caught spying, Inuyasha's dog-like ears twitch, working like a radar to zero-in on any danger dumb enough to lurk around him, but then the silver appendages still themselves.
Here. I think triumphantly. The perfect spot…
I seat myself on a gnarled root and once again find myself gazing at my fried here in the feudal era. He hides his amber eyes from me, but I've so many memories locked safely in the abyss of my mind. The anger and confusion they held when he mistook me for someone else; the glares directed towards me (that I readily return) when we have our petty disputes; the tears that overflowed onto his cheeks when he thought I died, the first time I ever saw him cry; most of all, I cherish the memory of the love pooling in his golden eyes when he found me deep within out enemy's prison – imprisoned against my will.
My eyes flutter close, relishing that particular memory. I lean back against the rough bark.
"Yep, I'll always be here for him, whether Inuyasha realizes it or not."
From the treetops, I could've swore I heard him chuckle.
A/n: Does that deserve a 6 (= outstanding!) or what? I know, I was a tad vague here and there, but my teacher doesn't know who or what Inuyasha is, so I had to elaborate here! And there was a two page maximumlimit – so sorry if it ended too short.
X3
Till Next Time!
