A/N: Unfortunately, there is no EO Drabble this week, but I decided to write one anyway just because I love doing them and choose my own word. Inane is one of my faves, and it means empty, void, broken and senseless. Enjoy.
This can't be all they have left.
Fighting Dick Roman tooth and nail for all the damage he's caused, avenging Bobby, hoping they live to see another day.
Sam glances at Dean. He's just as inane of a man as he is, maybe even more so because on top of everything else he has this lingering guilt that's eating him away inside. He needs to talk, won't even though it's his own flesh and blood that's more worried about him than himself.
Sure, Lucifer's always there to torment and annoy. But what that's doing to Dean, he can't even imagine.
