OLC prompt given to me by Sophie (Gilmoregirlfanforever) "It's not my fault that I love you, it's yours"

"Luke, coffee." Lorelai sang in a sing song voice as she sat down at the counter. Luke came emerged in one of his flannel shirts, and he was wearing the blue hat that she had given him, backwards. Suppressing a smile as he came out from the kitchen, he passed her holding a piping fresh hamburger and a plate of fries.

Her eyes followed to the table by the window where there sat Kirk. "Anything else you need Kirk?" She heard Luke ask in half annoyance.

"More fries?" Kirk tried to bribe, to which Luke shook his head. "Oh come on Luke, there's hardly anything there." He pointed out to the pile of fries on his plate.

"It's the same amount you get every time you order a hamburger Kirk." Luke starts to back away, and heads back behind the counter.

"But there's not Luke---"

"I can always just take away the plate." Luke offered, heading back towards him, his hand ready to take it away.

"Never mind, we're good." Kirk quickly changed his mind, grabbing onto both sides of the plate and took a bite of a French fry clearly satisfied as he nodded.

Luke rolled his eyes and went back to what he was doing, waving him off as the typical Kirk.

"Well looks like you won that battle." Lorelai quipped, putting her hands together and set them on the counter as he began wiping down the counter, then set down his rag and looked up at her.

"Your coffee, right I forgot." He said, taking her hint and walked over to where the coffee was and grabbed her favorite mug the one she always used, and he poured her a rich steaming cup of coffee.

"Tell me why I do I love you?" She smiled as he brought her the coffee and set it down in front of her.

"I don't know. How you can drink this stuff?" Luke asked in half disgust. "It's because I can't say no to that smile and your visible ability to drink coffee and eat junk food." He went back to wiping down the counter.

"Technically, I'm a Gilmore and you've never been able to say no to me. And you love me. I think that about covers everything." She takes a sip of her coffee, watching his expression contort.

"Ah, no. Technically I could say no to you if I wanted. And two, It's not my fault that I love you, it's yours."

Lorelai laughs, setting her coffee back on the counter. "Since when has it been my fault that I love you?" Luke shrugs and puts the rag back underneath the counter.
