It was his brother. His brother, Claus, was the masked man this entire time.
Lucas, knowing this was no time to kid around, held a small sweet object in his hand.
The Masked Man raised his sword, preparing to battle, caused mortal damage to Lucas's party. Lucas still stood, proudly wearing his Franklin Badge.
There's only one solution to this.
Remembering the small sweet object in his hand, Lucas brought it out to show his brother, who stared at it, unfazed. "Here, Claus." Lucas said, opening the sweet object. "Have a snickers." The masked man looked around, wondering who this 'Claus' was. He was mostly confused as to why Lucas was holding out this... Snickers.
He stared at Lucas, as if to ask "Why?" so Lucas decided not to keep him waiting and answered, "Because... You get a little bit... brainwashed when you're hungry." The Masked Man felt a little uneasy about that comment, but he swiped the snickers from Lucas' hand.
"..." The Masked Man accepted the snickers, slowly, he began to eat it.
"Better?"
The Masked Man Removed his mask. It was Claus.
"Better."
