"I could stay."

"No. I could come with you."

"No." Abby leans forward as Marcus does the same until their foreheads pressed into each other. Her arms find a home around his waist she sighs deeply. She was too strong and guarded for tears but they were threatening to fall. She knew she had to leave. Leave him behind for a long time. Perhaps even forever. There wasn't a choice her personal feelings towards anyone including this man had to put aside. No matter how hard it was breaking them both.

"I have a meeting with Roan." He starts to pull away. She holds onto him tighter, fearfully to a degree. She wasn't ready to let him go. She knew after the meeting with Roan there would be another meeting, than another, an emergency of some sort would happen at any second needing either her attention or his, and soon there won't be a second left for them and this. Abby wanted a last day with him but she knew just a few minutes would be a miracle enough. So she keeps a hold of him and the tears at last fall.

"We will meet again Abby." Marcus says with authority in his voice. She takes comfort in his convection.

"I know. I know."
