Disclaimer: Unfortunately I do not own Harry Potter and co., as a very rich lady named J.K. Rowling came up with the idea first A/N- this is my first fanfic and if you peoples don't like it so far, than I will not write another chapter, and it's cool if ya flame me no big.

It was a cold winter day, much like any other except - "Where's Hermione? It's past 11:00" Ron asked looking anxious. "Probably in the library, studying" Harry answered. Hermione was indeed in the library. But not exactly studying.

Hermione was asleep in the library. She woke with a start, wondering what had stirred her from her deep sleep. "Oh well" Hermione thought. She went to the library doors. She found them locked. "Alohomora" Hermione whispered. The doors remained locked. She decided to explore the library, since she was obviously stuck there for the night. Hermione also decided she might as well catch up on her reading while she was there. In a back corner she had never noticed before, Hermione noticed a book that had fallen from a shelf. She read the title. " Among Your needs" it said. She opened it up. The page she had turned to had a magical mirror on it. Hermione looked at it. She was surprised to see an older her in the arms of a surprisingly familiar blonde-haired man.

Draco Malfoy was chasing after a beautiful woman with brown hair and honey- colored eyes. He caught up with her at last and embraced her. He led her back to a house when he heard the worse words known to wizard. "Avadra Kevadra" He ran in front of the woman, but it was too late. She was dead. Draco woke up drenched in a cold sweat. The woman he had seen in his dreams looked strangely familiar. Was it? No it couldn't be her. Hermione? She was a Mudblood. But a very hot Mudblood. After their 6th year at Hogwarts, Hermione had grown to be very pretty. Her once bushy hair had grown out, and she had finally developed. "No way" Draco said out loud. "She could never love me. Not after all the mean things I've done to her." And he fell asleep, glad that he had his own room.

Hermione stared at the picture. Is this what she really wanted? She wondered to herself. She had read the label earlier and now she put that backwards. Erised = Desire (a/n I just figured that out yesterday) Although she hadn't ever liked Malfoy, Hermione now wondered if all the talk and attitude really wasn't what Malfoy was. Maybe there was a sensitive person down there, maybe somewhere underneath all that bravado there was a heart. And with that thought, Hermione fell asleep with a smile on her face.

Hermione woke the next morning and rushed past a very flustered looking Madame Pince (a/n is her name spelled right?) and bumped right into a first year carrying a big stack of books. "I'm so sorry," Hermione said. "It's okay," said the first year. "Is this Gryffindor?" she asked. "No it's the library" Hermione answered. "By the way, what's your name?" "Marissa King" Marissa answered picking up the last of her books. "I'm Hermione. I'm the Head Girl. I'll take you to Gryffindor." Hermione said. "Oh thank you so much" Marissa smiled. She thought to herself "Good I have her fooled. I need to have access to Gryffindor so I can." "And here we are." Hermione's voice interrupted Marissa's thoughts. " I hope you like it. The password is lion fights. I'll leave you here now." And before Marissa got a chance to thank her, Hermione wandered out, lost in her thoughts of Draco.
