A Dozen Roses

He hated being here, obviously. Most guys hated it here, him included. But he had to be here for his plan to work. He already went to the jewelry shop, but he had to stop here for his plan to be complete.

He smiled at the flower shop owner and told her exactly what he needed. She looked at him confusingly, but shrugged and wandered into the back and after a few minutes, brought out a beautiful bundle. He thanked her and paid for them. He left the flower shop humming a happy tune, a small skip in his step.

Sakura Haruno was in a good mood. She had a day off from the hospital, no missions, no training; so she could stay home and be lazy. She was currently curled up her couch, reading a small romance book.

To tell the truth, her mind wasn't occupied on the book. She was thinking about Kakashi. He had left early this morning to go on a mission. She wasn't worried about him, for the most part, she just couldn't get her mind off of him.

A knock at the door woke her up from her reverie. She was a little confused - she wasn't expecting Naruto until six - but she shrugged and lifted herself off the couch. When she open the door, she was a little more confused. In front of her was a small boy, around eight, holding a dozen roses. "Haruno, Sakura?"

"Yes."

"For you," He held out the flowers and gently took them. When she went to thank the boy, he was no longer there. She sighed and closed the door. Smiling, she grabbed a vase, filled it with water, then proceeded to place the flowers inside. She noticed a small note:

Sakura,

When the last rose dies, my love for you will die with it.

KH

P.S. Please open you door.

Sakura raised an eyebrow, but complied to the note. She walked to the front door and opened it. She gasped. In front of her was standing Kakashi, in a full tux; max and hitai gone. In his hands he held a sign which read Marry Me?

"Sakura, will you marry me?" Sakura stood there in shock. Kakashi put the sign on the ground and moved foreword; "Sakura?"

In one swift pink movement, she was in his arms, sobbing; "Yes! Yes I'll marry you baka!"

Eleven of those roses died a few days later, but one rose still stood proudly in the vase.
