Lex was making his way through an obstacle course for P.E. He was racing his friend, Max, whose obstacle course was identical. As he jumped over a hurdle, a flashback came into his mind. His 10th birthday. The one he had celebrated while stranded on the deserted island. He began to slow down as he played the memory through his head. "Maze-a-thon, that's what it was called," he thought. He remembered setting it up for hours and then watching the 6 others compete. He remembered how Jackson made an amazing come back, winning no work for the rest of the day. As much as he loved being back home, he wouldn't have minded living there a little longer.
Daley was lying on a raft that was floating in her pool. She usually wasn't the one to be lounging, but she had a busy week at school. As the end of the year neared, more and more things were piled up for the class president to do. As she lie there, a memory came into her head. The third week when she was stranded on the island. The day her and Nathan had set sail on the raft Eric had designed. The day she nearly died, but luckily, Nathan saved her. But most importantly, the day she told Nathan her true feelings about hi, confirming it with a kiss on the cheek. She couldn't help but wonder, "If we never got stranded, would I ever gotten together with Nathan?"
Nathan slowly inched his way up the rope he had to climb for P.E. He used to dread this, but after being on the island, it came easy. He remembered the day he climbed up the coconut tree. The one that was probably twice the size of the rope he was currently on. He couldn't decide which was easier, climbing the tree Polynesian style, or climbing up knots on a rope. But he was definitely sure that climbing the tree was much more worth it.
Taylor took a bow as the curtains closed. She had gotten the lead role in the school play. Before she was stranded on the island, she never thought twice about the drama club. But after acting for the video Eric shot of her, she was convinced she had "B.O." And he was right, she had gotten the lead role in this play, and the one she audition for earlier in the year. And since she went to a rich school like Hartwell, she had talent scouts at her performances.
Eric filled an empty water bottle up using the drinking fountain. After getting back home from the island, he always had a sudden urge to fill things up with water. "Probably from the month I spent lugging water back and forth on the island," he thought. When the bottle was full, he pulled it back and took a sip. "This water tastes much better," he thought.
Melissa swayed to the music at her school dance. She went with Jackson, of course. As the music played, she realized something. Daley was dancing with Nathan and Taylor was dancing with Eric. Just like the dance Abby set up on the island. "Make more happy memories," she remembered Abby writing to them when she had left. "I think I'm living up to her words," she thought, smiling at Jackson.
Jackson sat at home playing his guitar, and writing down notes that sounded good together. He was writing a song. As he played what he had so far, he thought about the time he had shown his song, I Won't Stand Alone, to Taylor when they were on the island. It wasn't the first song he had ever written, but it was definitely his favorite. It described their situation so much. He decided to take a break and play it, just for the sake of remembering.
A/N- So did you like it?? It was just a random one shot that popped into my mind. Review please!!
