Wishbone
Finding Adventure
One Saturday morning in a small town of Oakdale, Joe woke up and got out bed to start his day, wanting to hangout with his friends David and Sam for a day, but his mother Ellen ask him if he can help her out at the library. And he said that he will. Meanwhile his dog Wishbone got up from sleeping in a big red chair and went to the kitchen to eat his dog food. While eating he said, 'Hope Joe and Ellen take me to the library, I would love to look at books, then again whoever heard of a dog reading a book!' When he was done he hears Joe calling him 'Wishbone come on we're going to the library!' Wishbone ran to the front door to go with Joe and Ellen to the library.
As they got to the Library, Wishbone was looking around, 'Books has so many great adventures!' He said, 'In fact my very first book adventure was when I pretend to be Tom Sawyer, it was awesome to hang around with Huckleberry Finn and being part of their adventure!'
As Wishbone continue to look around, 'Another great adventures I had was when I pretended to be Sherlock Holmes trying to solve a mystery. Holmes has so many great adventures solving crimes.
'If I wanted to be a hero, I could be Robin Hood and hangout with the Merrymen in Sherwood Forest, planning to save Maid Marion from the evil Sheriff of Nottingham!
'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Oliver Twist, Don Quixote and Journey to the center of the earth are great adventure story. I need to find a book that I haven't read yet."
Wishbone looked around for more to see if there's any book he hasn't read yet and finally found one!
'Les Misérables by Victor Hugo.'
Then Wishbone begin to daydream of his adventure in Les Misérables story,
'In this story I can pretend I'm Jean Valjean who was in prison for 19 years for stealing a loaf of bread, later when release, I broke my parole to change my life for the better, meanwhile I'm away running from a military officer named Javert who wants to throw me back in jail!' Wishbone continued,' While I'm still on a run I'd find and help a poor dying woman name Fantine who wants me to help rise her little daughter named Cossette. Years down the row I would also help save a young man name Marius during the French Revolution, while saving his life, most of his friends get tragically killed. Soon Cossette and Marius would be togather and live happily ever after.'
'Wow!' Said Wishbone, 'That story had alot of adventures! Being chase, helping people, and fighting battles! You never know what kind of adventure you'll read in a book, it can be fun!'
Then he hears Joe calling him, 'Come on Wishbone, it's time to go home.' Later while going home with Joe, Ellen stay behind at the library to continued working there, On a way back home Wishbone was thinking,' I'm ready to go on another adventures! Speaking of adventure maybe I'll go visit Wanda's yard to find bury treasure like Long John Silver in Treasure Island! Here I come!' Joe look in horror when Wishbone ran into Wanda's yard, 'WISHBONE DON'T!'
For a little dog with big imagination Wishbone continued his adventures.
