Story Title: Safety.
Summary: She marvels at how safe she feels in such a dangerous place. Sakura-centric. NaruSaku and KakaSaku.
Character/s: Kakashi, Naruto and Sakura.
She hears the distant sound of metal hitting metal and other sounds you'd generally associate with fighting. She knows she's safe. So she keeps her eyes closed, and lies peacefully in her sleeping bag. She uses her sleeping bag more often then her bed.
The noise stops quickly and for a long time she lies perfectly still in the silence.
She opens her eyes and turns her head to look at the blonde that faces away from her, pretending to sleep. She sits up slightly to stare at the silver-haired man that is leaning against a nearby tree, keeping look out.
As she lies back down she marvels at how safe she feels in such a dangerous place.
She wonders if she could feel safer and she knows she could. If they were holding her, embracing her, keeping her warm.
She pushes the thought away; she can live her life with merely the safety of their presence.
Author's Note: Uh, yeah... I don't actually like KakaSaku... that just kinda happened.
