Ten things Elphaba Knows About Glinda
A/N I was originally going to write a list of 10 things she didn't know... but then i figured that i wanted to focus on their friendship, not their secrets. So i changed it.

1) She knows that her favourite colour isn't pink.
Its not that she doesn't like pink; she DOES... but its not her favourite colour.
Maybe surprisingly, her favourite colour, from childhood, is yellow.
Yellow is the colour of the sun. Yellow is the center of daisies, yellow roses are just as pretty as pink roses, and more unusual too.
Yellow is a warm colour, the colour of summer, and if happiness was a colour, it would be yellow.
Yellow is bright and fresh and cheerful: butter on fresh bread, easter daffodils, baby chicks, sandy beaches.
Yellow is the colour of her bedroom back home, except only Elphaba, out of all the girls at Shiz, knows this.
She also knows that the main reason Glinda wears pink so much is because its the colour that suits her best, and the colour that most of her friends favour. Around her Shiz friends, she wears pink because its the colour THEY like.
But when she and Elphaba make their long-awaited-for trip to the Emerald City, just the two of them, she wears yellow because its the colour that SHE likes.
2) She knows that Glinda can bear picking up the biggest, scariest spider in all of Oz- actually scoop it into her bare hands and deposit it outside, no bother, while Elphaba squirms uncomfortably at the very thought of those eight legs getting anywhere NEAR her.
She doesn't see anything remotely scary about them- they're just small, fragile insects that, she will remind anyone within earshot, "are more scared of you than you are of them", and they certainly don't deserve to be squished, just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Alongside her reputation as most popular girl on campus, blondest undergraduate and close friend of the weird, green, animal-rights activist on the third floor, Glinda is also unofficially known as chief spider catcher of Crage Hall.
She has rescued more than half of its occupants from threatening arachnids over a twelve month period.
Only about a third of these have been girls.
3) She knows that the worst thing you can do to Glinda is to show her a picture of a fish.
Spiders are nothing, but fish are terrifying to her, for some reason.
Glinda has never explained exactly what it is about them that scares her so much, but Elphaba has learnt to NEVER take her friend somewhere that there might be fishtanks...
