The sirens echoed around the city, people were running away screaming from the oncoming attack.
In the middle of it all stood two people, a man and a woman. The man, in a long brown coat was talking feverishly to her and making erratic hand movements as he spoke. She was silent but the occasional nod of the head causing her blond curls to bounce on her shoulders showed she was following.'Do you understand?' The Doctor questioned, looking deeply into his companions eyes.
'Yeah ...' Rose replied, his plan was so dangerous, surely he knew this time they could end up dead.
'Great!' He said enthusiastically, always one to see the bright side of a situation. 'Hang on ... Rose are you alright?' He had seen the expression on Rose's face before she had looked down, causing her hair to fall over her face. He noticed she was fiddling with the hem of her top, an action he recognised as a nervous habit.
'Of course,' she said, looking up and attempting to smile but not keeping her voice level.
'Oh Rose,' the Doctors voice softened as he pulled his companion into a hug. 'We'll be fine, you know that don't you? There are ton's of monsters we've beaten before, nothing can stop us. We're the stuff of legend you and me.'
'I know' Rose said as she pulled away from his embrace, sliding her hand down his arm until she found his own outstretched palm. 'I know'
