I jolt up to the sound of the buzzer. Ah. Eleven. I jump out of bed and run to the Regeneration Chamber. Sure enough, the Eleventh Doctor is unconscious inside. I wait. Finally, he stirs.
"Hello! Took you long enough!" I greet. "I've been waiting for you for a while."
"Who are you? Where am I?" he asks. He glances down at his hands. "Why am I still… me? I regenerated, didn't I?"
"I'm Mika. You're in the Other World. As for why you're still Eleven… well, it's complicated."
"Other World?" he asks.
"A pocket universe. You see, whenever a Time Lord or Lady regenerates, their previous… being, is transported here. All of your faces are here, too. In fact, just yesterday, I had tea with Three." I explain. I laugh, "Ah, that rhymes!"
"That's impossible."
"Apparently not. Come on. The others have been waiting for you. We want to hear your stories." I say.
I turn and skip away. I stop and turn back. He's still just sitting there. I sigh.
"You want proof? Come with me, and I'll give you proof." I say.
"You could be leading me into a trap."
"I'm not, though."
"I should be dead. And who are you? A Time Lady?" Eleven asks. "Why are you here? And if you're telling the truth, is the Doctor the only Time Lord here?"
"So many questions." I say.
"So?"
"I don't know why I'm here; I guess I was chosen. I'm practically immortal, but not from Gallifrey. Actually, I do not know where I'm from. This village houses the Doctor, but other ones have different Time Lords and Ladies." I sigh. "I'll find the others, if you don't believe me."
Before he can say anything else, I leave. Immediately, I find Ten.
"Did I hear the buzzer?" He asks. "Is Eleven finally here?"
"Yeah, but he does not believe me. Come on. You're my proof that I'm not lying." I reply.
I drag him along, and we find Eleven checking his jacket pockets. He hears us approach, but does not look up.
"I'm missing my screwdriver." he mutters.
"They don't come with us, which I suppose makes sense." Ten says.
Now Eleven looks up. He looks very surprised. "Okay, you're here. She wasn't lying. Hmm. I'm used to people trying to kill me. Very strange. Very strange indeed."
"How is Clara?" Ten asks.
"She was fine when I left her. A bit upset, but fine." Eleven says, a sad smile playing on his lips. "Wonder what I look like now."
I point to the screen which now has a new face on it. Ten and Eleven both sigh when they see him.
"Still not ginger." they say together.
I chuckle a little. "Come on, I'll get you situated in a room. I wonder how long this guy will be before he arrives."
Little did I know it would be over 2 billion years before he finally would arrive.
