Silence is Golden

Authors Note: Hey guys. I thought I should do a Kenshin songfic. If you want me to write a full story about Kenshin and Yaskia (Pronounced: Ya-Skee-Ah)
then review me and tell me. This song is from Garbage. ~Is lyrics~ "Is spoken"

Yaskia watched Kenshin gathering his belongings, he had hurt her and yet did not seem to care, this is where the Battousai side of him came out.
There was complete silence, you would not of been able to tell that such a huge argument had happened moments before.

~If I am silent then I am not real,
But if I speak up then no one will hear,
If I wear a mask there's somewhere to hide~

She watched his hair fall over his shoulder as he bent to pick up his kimono.
He had hurt her, and there was tense silence.

~Silence is golden,
I have been broken,
Safe in my own skin,
So, nobody wins.~

Just moments earlier she had gotten back from the market to a dark, quiet home. She checked each room for her Kenshin, but he was hers no longer, when she reached they're room she stopped through pain filled eyes she stood, frozen in her spot, her Kenshin kissing this woman's neck, holding her hand, caressing her face, that's when she snapped. She yelled, "Kenshin get your stuff and remove yourself from my sight!!!"

~If I raise my voice, will someone get hurt,
And if I can't feel then, I won't get touched,
If no truths are spoken then no lies can hide.~

Kenshin and the woman stopped, and quickly broke apart Kaoro, it was Kaoro?! Her friend for life, had, slept with her fiancé?!

Kaoro had looked mad at Yaskia's interruption. Kenshin had a smug look on his face, and Yaskia wanted to kill them both.

And now here he was, gathering his stuff.

~Did you hear me speak,
Do you understand,
Did you hear my voice,
Will you hold my hand,
Do you understand me~

Kenshin stopped and gathered his stuff under his arm. He began to walk past Yaskia, then paused, in a low cold voice he asked, "You really thought I'd wait for you?" Then he left.

~Won't someone listen, nobody gets in~

*Flash back.*

Kenshin trailed kisses down Yaskia's neck, Yaskia stopped him, "Remember Kenshin, I want to save myself, for our wedding night." Kenshin smiled and nodded, holding her close.

*End flashback.*

~My body's a temple,
But nothing is simple,
Silence is golden,
I have been broken.~

Yaskia looked tearfully at the retreating Battousai's back.

~Something was stolen,
Safe in my own skin,
So, nobody wins.~
