-1A/N: Takes place at the end of "Last Week Fights, This Week Tights" I know it's been done a million times before, but I thought I'd make it a million and one!

"Don't say no just to make me stop talking or make me go away. Only say no if you really don't want to be with me." Jess pleaded.

That threw Rory off. All of that time she had been repeating no just so he couldn't get a word in to convince her otherwise. But he had to say that. Rory contemplated lying, actually started trying to say no, but it wouldn't come out. She settled on the next best thing.

"I can't." She looked to the floor.

It wasn't a no, so Jess thought maybe he had hope.

"Yes you can."

Rory sat on a box nearby and put her head in her hands. This was not what she was expecting. Finally she looked back up at Jess trying not to cry.

"Jess, I can't leave Yale. You can't ask me to leave Yale."

Jess had to think quickly if he was going to convince her.

"Just for the summer. You're on summer break, right? Come with me for the summer. If it doesn't work out, you don't have to stay with me. If it does, then we'll figure something out when school is back in session. We just have to give this a chance. I want to be with you, but not here, we have to start new."

Rory didn't know what to say to that. It didn't seem completely ridiculous like his previous question. But she didn't know if she wanted to spend the summer away. She had been looking forward to going home to Stars Hollow and feeling like she did when she was growing up again. Then again, if she said no and went back home, Stars Hollow would be filled with memories of Jess and she would never be able to get him out of her head.

She didn't know how long she had been silent, but it must have been a long time because Jess was standing up walking out of her dorm, looking defeated. The feeling that coursed through her had to be one of the most painful she had felt at that moment. She didn't realize how much seeing him leave again would hurt.

'Suck it up Gilmore. Do something spontaneous for once in your life' A voice inside Rory screamed at her. Jess had always brought out a spontaneous streak in her no one including herself knew she had.

So with tears streaming down her face, she pushed herself off of the now buckling box and ran out of her dorm chasing after Jess. He was almost to his car when she finally spotted him. Knowing she would never make it to him before he got in his car and disappeared yet again, she yelled as loud as she could.

"Yes!"

Jess stopped in his tracks, but didn't turn around. Rory began walking towards him before breaking into a run afraid she would lose her nerve.

"Yes." She repeated out of breath when she got to Jess. He finally turned to her and just stared into her ocean blues. Rory put her hand to Jess' cheek and leaned in to kiss his lips softly and lingered for a few seconds while he returned the kiss putting his left hand on the small of her back. When Rory pulled away and saw that rare smile on Jess and felt that bubbling in her stomach it always gave her, she knew she was done for. This would work.

A/N: I know I'm a complete loser and have a million unfinished stories, but I was watching this episode yesterday and got this idea. I think Rory would have said yes if he hadn't wanted Rory to give up Yale. This will be a one shot for now for two reasons. One, I don't have any ideas for any other chapters and was just writing this for the hell of it. And two, because I have so many unfinished stories that come before this one, and I want to try and catch up on them before my loyal readers (or what I have left of them) have me strappadoed.
