"Good morning pots and pans."
"Good morning mirror."
"Good morning Mama." Levi paused, for his mother was still fast asleep.
"Mama!"
Kuchel slowly opened her eyes, rubbing them and looking at her son who was tugging at her dress.
"I'm up darling." Kuchel yawned, stretching her arms out as she did so.
"C'mon we might miss breakfast!"
"Oh, I would never miss breakfast!" Kuchel chuckled, following her son to their kitchen.
"Exercising every day helps keep the doctor away!" Kuchel told her son in a sing-song voice, glancing over at Levi to see that he was doing the same pose as her.
"Yeah, so does a gun to their face."
"Well this is a more, peaceful, attempt."
"Ugh, Mama why do you always pour cold water over me."
"Because I want you to be clean and healthy." She said, scrubbing suds through her son's hair. "Not filthy and dirty like me."
"But I wanna be just like you!"
"Well you can be like me, just not filthy and dirty."
"Levi?"
"Yes Mama?"
"Do you know how much I love you?"
"More than tea?"
Kuchel held her son closer to her.
"Just a little bit more than tea, baby."
"I don't like it when you tell me to go play outside." Levi admitted, staring his mother straight in the eyes. "I hear you scream and cry, sometimes for hours."
"Oh Levi, I just do it to provide for you...for us."
Kuchel reached out to her son in an embrace, tears streaming down her face.
"...do you wanna play shadow puppets?"
"...more than anything, baby."
"Mama.." Tears streamed down Levi's face as he saw the spirit of his mother.
"Sweetheart, you look tired."
Levi ran up to his mother, nestling his face in her neck.
"Life's just been exshausting without you."
