He stared at the gorgeous, emerald green surface, caressing it softly with his hand. Its beauty was intriguing, and he could not possibly break his glance.
Draco used his thumb and forefinger to pick up the apple. He lifted it to his face and inhaled the fresh, sweet and sour smell. He groaned softly and sunk his perfectly straight, pearly teeth into the crisp, white flesh.
For many moments, he forgot. He forgot how to think. How to breathe. How to chew, and then swallow. It was only Draco and the apple at that very moment, and he wanted nothing more than for it to stay that way forever.
"We should run away," Draco realized, mid-bite. "We could just go. We could leave Hogwarts, and mum and dad and Vol-" He stopped himself. He didn't want to scare Apple. But he longed to be with only her, for the rest of his life. And he knew how to get away from this. From Potter and his everyday mocking of Draco, from Crabbe and Goyle, their constant whispers behind his back about him needing Saint Mungos because of his "unhealthy obsession with that apple".
But they didn't understand. How could they? Without breaking eye contact, he sat up on his bed. "I know- I know what to do."
Draco stumbled blindly around the 7th floor corridor, his heart beating furiously. Filch had almost caught them, but they were able to escape his watchful eye. Holding Apple close to his heart, Draco stopped suddenly in front of a large, vacant wall. He looked down at the green fruit, just barely visible in the moonlight coming from the window. He closed his eyes slowly and kissed Apple passionately.
After 2 and a half minutes, keeping his eyes closed, he began to walk back and forth, 3 full times, thinking about everything that he needed. He wanted a life with Apple. He wanted children with Apple. He wanted to be alone with Apple, but he needed to get away with Apple first. Opening his eyes, he stared as a door formed on the vacant wall. Reaching his shaking hand out, his fist closed around the handle. He pulled, keeping Apple safe in his other hand, and shutting the door behind him, stepped inside the Room of Requirement.
Draco's eyes adjusted to the darkness. His feet shuffled slowly towards the tall Cabinet, his left hand reaching out in front of him. He whispered to apple while he walked. "We're going now," he repeated over and over again. "We're leaving, Apple. We're going now." He stepped directly in front of the Vanishing Cabinet, and inhaled the wooden scent. He licked his lips and stared hungrily (no pun intended) at Apple. She looked absolutely flawless. He wanted to do something dirty. He wanted to rip her green skin off, to hear her moan, and thrust himself against-
Draco steadied himself. He pushed the tempting fantasies out of his mind, and gripped the Cabinet's handle. "We're going now," he repeated, this time louder, more confident. "I love you." He mustered up as much force as he could, and opened the Vanishing Cabinet, stepping inside and disappearing with the love of his life, forever.
