The book was golden brown, old but none the less beautiful. Melinda grabs her spiral pen that writes cleanly along her page that felt like velvet. Her hair swiftly tied in the back her long locks along her spin. No makeup on, another evening in her room writing in her journal. And so she writes...
Dear Journal,
It's been strange recently hasn't it? With the voices I hear or the ghost's I see. They all seem so dangerous and mad lately. Enough with that right, it doesn't matter to me. Right now, I've fallen for nothing more or nothing less Jim Clancy ... worst part is, him from all people has a ghost attached to him.
Could high school get any worse?
XO Melinda
Melinda shut her book with panic that someone was behind her. Her face flushed red when she looked out the window to see what the noise was. With her amazement it was Jim with his mother. Cali Clancy was the best baker in Grandview. Her pasties were well worth the money. Cali was the same age as Melinda's mother but very younger looking. Her hair was short bob like, and plain blonde. Her eyes were the same colour as Jim's, this amazing sea green. Their laughs' surfaced through her room. Melinda put on a shirt right away and jogged downstairs. She tried to be as quiet as possible grabbing a drink but right as she opened the sliver refrigerator door they all walked in. Quickly opening the refrigerator door again to the look pre-occupied, Melinda prayed that they'll leave.
"Just going to grab some tea". Melinda recognized the voice; the voice was soft but raspy. She turned bright red, and she turned around.
"Honey...I thought you were sleeping?" She made it sound like she didn't want her awake.
"Writing mum" Melinda replied quickly. "Grabbing water, but I'm going up". She gave a fake smile and left. No sigh of Jim...Relived she jogged up the stairs.
Quickly as possible Melinda placed the water by her mirror and body spray collection. Her room smelled sweet and vibrate. Everything was always in place and thing's were always in order. She suddenly heard a noise in her washroom but just ignored it. Taking of her shirt once again, leaving her with a not so sexy bra white bra the voice became closer and near...
"Oh my gosh!" A voice yelped.
"AHHH" Melinda screamed.
"What the hell are you doing hiding in my bathroom you perverted freak"!
"My eyes are shut"! The voice exclaimed back.
Melinda turned around and noticed it was Jim. "I'm..." She paused "so sorry".
"Safe to turn around" he asked jokingly. "Yeah" she said still in shock, quickly putting her shirt back on.
"I didn't want to meet you like this, but "hi" my name is Jim. I moved last semester here from Longville".
His voice was nothing but beautiful music to anyone's ears. His lips looked tasteful and his eyes hypnotised you with all the magic in the world. He was wearing a plain black sweater that was advertising the company Roots. It matched perfectly with his watched up Levis jeans. For a man, he was truly beautiful.
"I know. You were in my Biology class, last semester". She said, feel like a stalker.
"I know" He said softly with a cocky smile. He moved closer to Melinda. "So, our parents are taking yoga together so I thought we could go for runs" He asked politely.
"Love too" Melinda replied with a heartfelt smile.
