Arashi: This is my first time at writing buddy shipping or Tristan/Joey pairing. Darkangel048 want this as a request. Its something came to mind which would be sweet and rather simple. I Don't own Yugioh and its characters since they rightfully belong to Kazuki Takahashi. Don't make any profit off this fic.
Summary-He's not going to forget today the day his friend is finally free from that hellhole of an apartment. With the letter in his hand, Tristan hopes it's the best gift he can give his boyfriend, a promise ring with the acceptance letter.
Being free
Smiling widely Tristan Taylor looks at the letter that has his boyfriend's name on it. Could he be going to that culinary school he wants to go into? He hope so since he remember for some time it has been Joey's dream. He chuckles remembering the first time the others look shock at the food the blond can make.
He heads over to the other's apartment knowing he's taking whatever little things out due to must are old and not really important. All the important things are with Tristan in his spare room of his two bedroom apartment. He thinks carefully wondering how to bring up the idea of proposing but making it into a promise. If Joey made it in the college he'll be gone for almost three to five years to become a chef.
He didn't have to wait long until the sight of a blond walking out of a run down apartment. Tristan smiles hugging the blond seeing no one or a sound from the apartment. Tears falling down the blond's eyes getting Tristan to tighten his grip.
"What's wrong?" The brunette ask.
"Its strange that its over and I'm free from his grips." Joey answers truthfully. Nuzzling closer to Tristan.
The need to be closer to him. He sighs wishing to know his answer if he got in the school or not. A part of him hopes he doesn't so he can be with his boyfriend. Expect Tristan would want him to be happy and not give up on his dreams.
"Got a letter for you, Joey?" Tristan murmurs softly to the blond as the shorter of the two pulls away looking curious and cautious. Did he dare to say there's hope in those brown expressive eyes.
Joey smiles timidly as his boyfriend pass him the letter. He reads the words hope sinking he didn't got in until he reads the words accepted. He smiles brightly laughing out loud. He pass Tristan the letter who reads it as well before gathering the blond in his arms kissing him as his life depend on it.
"Congratulations, Joey." Tristan whispers pulling back placing his forehead against Joey's.
"Hm," Came the soft answer. The blond close his eyes enjoying the closeness.
"Its going to be hard seeing you go and worried if I'm.." Tristan stops unsure how to proceed.
Joey gives him dark look tapping his nose with his finger scolding, "You're worth waiting for Tristan never doubt that. Its only for four and a half years to get the chef degree which shouldn't be so hard."
"Until then would you were this?" Tristan ask holding a box to show an engagement ring. Seeing the blond's surprise look, he continues. "I was planning on asking at the right moment but thought be better as a promise ring to show you're taken and that I love you."
Blushing a bright red, Joey allows the brunette to put the ring on his finger. The simple gold band catches his attention making him smile. Its perfect and its from his boyfriend. He leans against his shoulder whispering, Love you Tristan."
"Love you to, Joey. " Tristan replies kissing his boyfriend's forehead smiling softly.
