"Look, Shiki."
And he gazed at where she pointed. He almost raised a brow. "It's a shooting star," he said. And indeed, a beautiful falling star revealed itself against the darkness of the starry night sky.
"Isn't it common for humans to make a wish upon them?"
His face was expressionless—as usual. "We aren't humans."
Touya Rima turned her gaze from him and sighed. "There's no harm in trying."
And they both made a wish.
Silence.
"Ne… Rima… What did you wish for?" he asked. Blue eyes looked at him gently. "For yours to come true," she lied flawlessly, knowing that if she did tell him her wish, it won't come true.
There was silence once more.
Senri Shiki moved from where he sat and walked to the blonde, who sat on the windowsill. He leaned in and gently touched his lips to hers.
It wasn't a wild, passionate kiss one would expect. It was simply an immaculate kiss—pure and sweet.
He then pulled away and walked back to where he originally sat.
"What was that for?" Rima asked.
"You said you wanted my wish to come true, didn't you?"

'I wish for Shiki to be mine,' she thought.
'I wish I could show Rima how I feel,' he prayed.
