Tag, You're It...

She ran as far as her little legs could take her. She could hear the monster running right behind her, toying with her as she cried. She could feel its breathing on her neck, the sour smell and the disgusting heat that came off it. She whimpered as she prayed for him to come. Would he come? She cried out in surprise as she fell to the punishing earth below. Her face slammed into the twigs and rocks and soil as she slid across a few inches. She moaned and quickly got up, looking around her for the monster.

But he wasn't there.

She began to panic as she quickly turned, making her way toward the camp that they had made a few hours ago. The fear in her rose as she heard the beast run after her again. It was still toying with her. She cried for it to stop, hoped that someone would save her, but her prayers went unanswered. She winced as a pain shot through her side and legs. She had been running too long. But she was too afraid to stop as a burst of speed shot through her and she ran a little faster.

She finally made it out of the forest and looked for the camp. She paled when she didn't see one. Either she had been abandoned, or she had gone the completely wrong way. She screamed as the beast pounced and ran into another direction back into the forest. Where were they? She looked behind her and saw the beasts eyes gaining on her. She ran still, dodging whatever may be able to trip her or make her stop.

That's when she saw it.

She smiled as she saw the faint light up ahead of a fire. There was camp, she would be safe at last now. She made one last attempt to get there, her hopes rising, then falling.

The beast pounced.

She screamed as she was knocked down, the beasts eyes glaring into hers. She breathed heavily, her chest heaving up and down when suddenly...

She smiled and laughed.

"Yay! Now I'm it Sesshomaru-sama!" She watched as the giant dog pre-transformed back into a humanoid like form. Sesshomaru stared down at her. The little girl stood up, smiling.

"Rin's gonna get you, Sesshomaru-sama!" Sesshomaru smirked and slowly floated away, Rin chasing after him back into the forest.

In the camp, Jaken sighed. Damn that wench that followed Inuyasha for teaching Rin tag...

(smiles) That was nice...
