The Muggle Way

He opened the door to their flat just in time to hear a clang in the kitchen.

"What did you drop this time?" he called, hanging his robe up.

"The pan with the veg in," she replied, rolling her eyes at him as he walked into the kitchen.

"I don't know why you insist on trying to cook the muggle way," he said, wrapping his arms around her waist. Pressing his lips against her neck, he felt her lean into him.

"My father -"

"Is proud of you being a witch and doesn't expect you to do things the muggle way. He's a muggle-born, Tonks, not a muggle. He understands."

She sighed then nodded. "Alright. I'll demonstrate my prowess at all things muggle by calling for a takeaway. What do you fancy? Chinese or pizza?"

He laughed. "I'd much rather have you," he murmured against her neck. "Food can wait."

"Hmm. How was practise?"

"Good. Harry's doing well. I know you've been worried about him."

She tried to reply but was cut off when his lips descended on hers. When he pulled away, it was only to say, "I really need to thank him for introducing us. He'll be happy to know I've finally found something, or rather, someone, to love more than quidditch."
