"Do we have to go fight the kobaloi?" I complained. "Yes, they have been terrorizing this one school. So stop whining," Annabeth replied. "What is a kobaloi anyways?" I asked confused. "They are sprites that like to trick people and steal things," she said matter-of-factly. "Why do we have to do it," I asked complaining again. "Because I'm the best and you're my sidekick. Your annoying,Seaweed Brain" she said smiling. "You know you love me," I reply giving her a kiss on the head. "Hmm...I don't know. The school we are going to has some pretty handsome guys," she said. I scoffed. "No one can beat me. I'm perfect Wise Girl," I tell her. She laughs and shakes her head. "Whatever helps you sleep at night," she says and walks off. "Hey! What's that suppose to mean?" I ask running after her. "Nothing," she replies. *20 minutes later* "Are we there yet?" I asked her. "Almost. It should be right after this corner," she answers. "I'm hungry! After this we can go get some food," I tell her. "Why Perseus, are you asking me on a date?" She asked me mockingly. I pick a flower from a bus. "Of course I am. Will you, Annabeth Chase, go to dinner with me?" I ask her holding the flower. She takes the flower. "No, but I'll take the flower," she replies. I feel my face fall in disappointment. "Geez Percy, I was just kidding. Of course I'll eat dinner with you," Annabeth tells me. I smile spin her around and kiss her. The whole world disappears and it's just Annabeth and I. I wish it could stay like this forever. We finally get to the school. I can hear people yelling from outside. "Ugh, kobaloi are such a pest, Annabeth says. I laugh. We enter the building. There's a huge crowd of people yelling at each other. "Did you steal my samurai sword?" I hear someone yell. "Great, that made things harder," I mutter. Annabeth scoots closer to me and whispers, "C'mon I think I know where they are." I nod and follow. We go into what looks like a choir room. I could see in a corner a bunch of sparkly objects. Then out of nowhere Annabeth's dagger is in front of me. "Wha-," I start but then see the Samaria sword she just blocked. "Thanks," I tell her. "No problem," she replies. I get out Riptide. The kobaloi stands back sword raised. The kobaloi was a girl. She had brown hair and brown-almost black eyes. She looked at me. "I will kill you half-blood," she hissed. "You are gonna have to wait in line," I reply. She hisses and attacks. I block. Annabeth has disappeared. I'm worried but I try to focus on the kobaloi. "Where's your girlfriend? Did she leave you? That's ok you can have me. I'm MUCH prettier. I try to control my anger. "Don't you dare compare yourself to her," I threaten. "Oh did I strike a nerve there pretty bit?" She asks annoyingly. I lunge at her with my sword. She dodges and traps by a wall. She has me by the neck. "Maybe one kiss before I kill you," she says. Then she gasps. I look down and see it. A dagger right through her stomach. "Stop flirting with my boyfriend," Annabeth says. The kobaloi turns to golden dust. "Sorry, I had to go get water on my dagger. That is the only way to kill them," she tells me. I nod. "Let's go get dinner now," I say taking her hand." "Of course," she says. We walk happy and content.
