Hey everyone! Wow, my first piece of writing in a LONG time.

If all goes as planned, this is going to be a collection of short InuYasha stories. Keep in mind, I own nothing but the writing itself and if this doesn't get a lot of interest, well, I won't continue.

Dreams and Reality

Kagome's POV

Sometimes I wish time would stop so that this moment could last forever, me with you, you with me. Your arms holding me close- so close that I can hear the calm drumming of your heart. If time was frozen, I would be free to dream about what you would say next. Calming words of love that would make me stay up all night thinking of you. I could dream of how I'd blush madly at the things you said, while you would just laugh and tell me how cute I was, you companion, your friend, your koishii.

Koishii…

But I'm pulled back into the harsh reality where my thoughts will never come true. Instead of "my koishii," I hear the vulgar words of "you damned bitch." Instead of a blush on my cheeks, there are tears in my eyes.

All too quickly, you drop me harshly upon the cold, damp ground, allowing my bottom to take the brute of the fall. I don't even realize what is going on until I hear you scream your mighty attach of "Iron reaver soul stealer" and see a demon, an ugly little thing, cat by the glance I got of it, destroyed.

I stare at it for a moment through bleary eyes as I try to ignore your presence. But as I sit here, eyes on the beast, I can't help but look at you too, your silver hair blowing in the breeze with the occasional twitch of your fury ears. I often wondered why you never let me touch them. Does it hurt when they get touched?

You must have felt me staring because your head turned to stare at me. 'Such beautiful golden eyes' was my only thought. Quickly looking away, I hide the sad smile on my face.

You'd never be mine, my love, my InuYasha.

Wow, now that was a serious one, but don't worry, humor is on the way! I think….
