Author's note: Hi again! Second post! Yay! To anyone reading this who read my first fic, thank you so much for the reviews! They were super helpful and I tried to take your advice in the updated version I posted. And thank you for the support in general, I was really nervous, having never shared any of my writing before. Again reviews would be great, if you have the time. I've never typed up a poem, or tried to make it look professional before, so feel free to correct any poetry etiquette mistakes I made. I love Charlie and I'm still upset they killed her. She was one of the only female characters with any personality or substance, and the only representative of the LGBTQ community. SPN is not good about minorities :(
Disclaimer: Not mine, never will be *exaggerated sigh*
Walking on sunshine
Flaming red hair
Spunky bright spirit, yet wide eyed and scared
A hero,
A hacker,
A habitual nerd
Small for a girl who stood up to the world
"These things are going to eat everyone I know. What kind of douchebag stands by for that?"
A life filled with laughter,
A mind filled with code,
A past filled with secrets, some still untold
"You think my name is really Charlie Bradbury? Please."
Beaten and bruised,
Still forgiving and kind
The light drained a little from her tired brown eyes
"I forgive you, Dean"
Ready to help,
Eager to love,
And love she did fiercely
Her brothers in arms
"Sam and Dean are like my brothers. I love them."
Grim and determined,
This is her life
Happy to survive, but shrouded in shame and lies
"Okay. For Dean."
The story cut short, barely time to say goodbye
The little sister now gone
Left behind ashes riddled with guilt and blame, and the two men who watch them rise up from the flames
"You want to know what I think? I think it should be you up there, not her."
But still they remember through all of their pain,
As life carries on, they remember her name
"Charlie. Her name was Charlie."
