Little Girl Lost had just been lonely,

All she wanted was to play;

to take it with her always,

and fly far, far away.

But it was too big, it would not fit

she thought she could remove

all its little extra bits

and thus its size improve.

She didn't mean to break it

that was not her intent

yet there it lay, limp at her feet,

broken, scarred and bent.

She carried it to her Mummy,

"Please fix it!" the girl would sigh,

Mum looked and looked, but could not see

"It's fine!" she would reply.

She carried it to Daddy

"please help! It's torn apart!"

Dad saw that it was broken

but knew not where to start.

She went to uncle Rudy

who placed it on the floor.

"Since it's already broken..." he grinned

"Let's break it even more!"

She took it to big brother

"Please do something!" she implored

"Look what you've done! this is your fault!"

Her angry brother roared.

"Please fix it." she did beg

"I'll see what I can do...

To save it from further damage,

I'll keep it away from you!"

Little girl lost waited,

till she could wait no more

and crept to see if it was safe

behind big brother's door;

She'd hoped to find it mended

whole and happy, but she saw

that in her brother's care

it was as broken as before.

"I'm the one who caused this...

I'll put him back, piece by piece.

it will be very painful,

but it might just bring us peace."
