Crowfeather was born to Ashfoot and deadfoot however not much is known about his kitlife. However he had one brother named Eaglekit who probably died leaving Crowfeather as the sole survivor. He is a sleek black tom with blue eyes.
Crowpaw was first seen as an apprentice to Mudclaw. He wasn't very much like his mentor. Crowpaw was choosen by Starclan to be one fo the four cats from each clan who would have to save their Clans from danger. While on the quest he fell in love with Feathertail, but she died saving the Tribe from Sharptooth. He was heartbroken.
Crowfeather became a warrior on the journey to the lake. He chose his own warrior name in memory of Feathertail. He fell in love with Leafpool while at the lake, and they tried to run away together. But then Midnight came, saying the Clans were in danger from a hord of angry badgers, and he and Leafpool went back and saved ThunderClan. He realized they should never have been together and broke up. He later got Heatherpaw as his first appentice. Crowfeather found a mate in his own clan named Nightcloud and they had a kit whose now a warrior named Breezepelt (it was mentioned he had other kits, though it is unknown what happened to them). Though he neglected Breezepelt. One day Hollyleaf, Lionblaze and Jayfeather told him that he was their father and Leafpool was their mother, and he pretended not to care. When Hollyleaf announced it at a gathering, he shouted at Leafpool, saying he only had one kit and that was Breezepelt. He later ignored Leafpool and acted mean to Jayfeather and Lionblaze and Hollyleaf. During the Dark Forest attack he is seen throwing Breezepelt off Lionblaze. Breezepelt yowled that Crowfeather hated him. Crowfeather told him he never hated him, and that was just what Breezepelt though, egged on by Nightcloud. He then told Breezepelt it didn't matter because he was on the Dark Forest's side. He then chased Breezepelt away. Leafpool then told him she was sorry. He said he didn't regret a thing, and went to bury his nose in Hollyleaf's fur, apparentally sad she was dead.
