AN:My first fic, just a itty bitty one-shot about Niki and Jessica, so please be kind and review. Constructive critism very much welcome. Flamers, too, whatever makes the customer happy.

She could still feel it, under her fingernails and in her hair and surrounding her, in her, well, aura, for lack of a better word. The blood was gone, physically at least, after half a dozen showers and a now well-worn loufa. But she could still feel it.

She thought about that night constantly, running it through her head like a tape on repeat. Like her tape on repeat. No one else was there, no one but her and the now deceased. The deceased laying in a shallow grave, along with the other mysterious bodies. Niki didn't want to think, didn't want to see the answer to her incessant questions. There were the directions in her own car, her own shovel in the ground, her own sweat beading on her uppper lip as she worked the sand out of the way, making room for more skeletons from her walk-in closet.

Her own suspicious memory gaps, that her nightmares have been trying to fill in with gruesome accuracy, night after night. Her own blood soaked trunk, her own hand-writing on the heart-shaped Post-It note, her own crime scene.

Her own reflection, staring back at her, smirking while she was lying next to two corpses, covered in someone else blood.

For once, Niki just wishes that when she looked in the mirror, the only thing staring back at her would be her reflection.
