Aneko: Kon'nichi wa. Again. What is this, my fourth posted story today? Mmm…

Disclaimer: I don't own Princess Tutu…now excuse me while I go cry in my COW.

Dance Your Heart Away

Ahiru knew in the beginning that she could never be with him. She was, after all, a duck, and he was a Prince.

Still, she could not help but dream of maybe, and when she saw those eyes (those beautiful yet emotionless eyes), something in her desperately wanted to see a smile come to his porcelain face.

So when the chance came for her to save him, she jumped for it. She danced through many battles, with allies and enemies, resolved in her efforts.

She danced, determined, the whole time not knowing that as she does, she will one day have to give away the last piece, the piece that makes her who she is.

But even when she did find out, she only wavered for a moment before continuing her dance, giving her heart to him.

She dances her heart away, for a man who she cannot love, and, in the end, who will not love her back.

And in the end, she never regrets it.

Aneko: Bah. That didn't turn out like I wanted it too. It sounds too Mytho-Ahiru which, believe me, is not the angle I was going for. Please understand. Ja, Sayonara.
