Voices
The sky is dark, full of clouds
The wind screams, loud and shrill
Lightning flashes and thunder growls
Rain mutters in guttural voice
They do not need you; you made your choice
Do it now, absolve your sin
Cleanse the demon that lives within!
The knife draws near to velvet flesh, a flash
Then pain, an indrawn breath
Again, again the gleeful cry, comes tumbling from the blackened sky
Dripping blade, once again raised
Eyes clouded in a pain-filled haze
Lights snap on, dark eyes are raised
To meet her four friends shock-filled gaze
She slumps to the floor, a blood-soaked mess
Smiling faintly, welcoming death
Anguished cries rise from the room
The cries of her impending doom
To late to save her from herself
Naught to do but sit and cry
Naught to do but watch her die

*Authors note* I really love Raven A LOT but the only kind of poetry I can
write is angsty poetry so...plz rate and review this is only my 2nd work here
and I like to be told about my stuff. Plz also tell me which you think is
better: one big group of poems in one thing and separated into chapters, or
many smaller poems each with their own place?? Anyway hope you guys enjoy
it.
