AN: I know it's been awhile since I finished this story, but I wanted to add a scene that I think I should've originally put in here. I hope you enjoy!

Happy Holidays!

Sirius sighed as he stood outside Maisie's door, trying to decide what to do. She hardly ever got into trouble, and this was definitely the worst thing she had done while living with him.

He didn't want to yell at her, even though that would probably have an affect on her. What else could he do? Should I just leave her in there longer? By now, her conscience was probably driving her mad. He couldn't hear anything from behind the door.

Alright, Sirius thought, Just go in and get this over with. You can do it.

He took a deep breath and knocked, then entered the room. Maisie was lying on her bed, on her back. Sirius quickly studied her face. It didn't look like she had been crying.

Sirius sat on her bed. Maisie bent her knees to move her feet out of the way. "So", Sirius said. "Would you like to explain why you decided to leave without telling me? To Grimmauld Place, no less?"

Maisie sat up and folded her legs underneath her. She shrugged and looked at the floor. "Maisie", Sirius said in a warning tone that he had never used with her before. He could tell that it surprised her, because she looked up immediately.

Honestly, it surprised him too.

"I'm sorry", she said quietly, not looking directly at him. "That's not what I asked", Sirius told her. He sighed. "Look, Maisie, I understand that you want to help your friends - and I don't have a problem with you helping them. I do have a problem with you putting yourself in danger to do that."

"You could have been captured", Sirius continued. "And I never would have known what happened to you." "I left a note", Maisie interjected quietly. Sirius raised an eyebrow at the interruption.

"Yes, you did. And I appreciated that. But, what if you had gotten hurt? How would you have gotten back? How would I have known where you went?" Sirius noticed that his voice was steadily rising as he went on, and took a deep breath.

"Maisie, look at me", she didn't, and Sirius grabbed her chin and turned her head towards himself. "You scared me to death tonight. If you ever, ever, do something like this again...I don't know what I'll do. Let's not find out. Okay?"

Maisie nodded, her eyes watering a bit. "I'm sorry." Sirius pulled her close. "I know."

When they broke apart, Sirius stood up and said, "Now, go to bed." Maisie looked at her clock. "But it's only 8:30", she said, confused. Sirius smiled at her.

"Get used to it. Goodnight."
