In My Murderous Shame

"Flowers of blood appear on her sheets

As we both lie rotting."

The sign of death rises as we both pass.

She's gone above as I'm puzzled,

to see her going and my staying.

I feel dead inside,

I'm no longer alive.

As suddenly I'm awaken back in despair,

I look over and see her stare.

She's gone forever.

I sit feeling numb and left out a soft sigh.

I was speechless and felt no more.

What I did was right.

There I started to think,

Her beautiful smile I would no longer see,

She was now far from me.

As I sit again empty by her rotting expression,

'We could have been.'

Hours have passed as I selflessly lose control.

This was her fault in the end.

sitting in my murderous shame.
