I stood looking at my father, my face and mind blank. Why did he chose now to return to us? After he left like he did, all those years ago. Leaving Mom, my brothers and I all alone. Ed had already basicly attacked him. Al had hugged him leaving me the only one left to react to his sudden appearance. My expression twists into that of anger.
Walking up to him I punch him in the face and all he does is smile not saying a word. My expression softens and I hug him pressing my face tightly against his chest. He wraps his arms around me kissing me on top of my head
"I'm sorry Erika.' he says causing a few tears to run down my cheeks wetting his shirt
"Why?" I ask
"To become mortal. I wanted to watch the three of you grow and learn."
"What does that mean?" Ed asks walking up to us
"I've lived for so long. Everyone I knew and loved had lived and died while I continued to live on." Honehiem says
"How?" Al asks
"The philosopher stone." he answers and we all gasp. The thing my brothers had been searching for?
"How did you have one?" I question
"Do you three know of the kingdom of Xerses?" my brothers and I nod. Xerses is where the first philosopher stone was made
"What does that have to do with anthing?"
"I was born in Xerses as a slave. The first ever homunculus gave me three things after it killed everyone, but the three of us. He gave me a name, knowledge, and immortality. I wondered through the world untol I met your mother and had the three of you. I wanted to die by her side. I wanted to watch the three of you out live me."
"Dad..." I breathe and hug him tighter "I forgive you."
"Me too." Alphonse agrees and Edward nods
"Dad, I have some people I want you to meet." I note and he nods. The four of us walk to the house I share with my husband, Roy Mustang. My husband was walking out of the nursery, but stops when he sees us.
"Erika...who's that man...?" Roy questions looking at my father
"Roy, meet my father. Dad, meet my husband Roy Mustang." I introduce
"You're married now Erika?" Dad questions seemingly inspecting Roy
"Yeah. She married a complete pervert." Ed comments and Dad's eyes narrow. I glare at my brother before leading Dad to the nursery so he could meet his granddaughters. Seraphina and Terra blink, looking up at him from their cribs.
"Meet my daughters Seraphina and Terra."
"Their beautiful."
"Sera has the black hair and Terra has the blond." he picks them up and the two eight month olds just watch him curiously. He seemingly couldn't lose the smile that appeared on his face. The twins blink before smiling. Mabye having him back won't be so bad after all.
